PYBURN/SPEARS
Looking for my ggrandparents. They lived in Clay/Randolph counties until they died. My ggrandfathers name was Thomas Nathaniel Pyburn. His wifes name was Nancy Ellen Pyburn. They had 4 children. Thomas - Minnie - Noah - Sam. Nancy's last name was Spears when she married Thomas. This was in 1888. They lived between Reno and Dato. Somewhere in Clay or Randolph Counties. I do not believe any of the family is living there now. All of the children have passed on or moved away. If anyone has any information or recalls the name could you please email me. Also, I would like to know if there was an indian village up there around 1888. Why did they named the streets what they did? One of the streets is named Pyburn street. Is there a specific reason? FERNIMEN/YOUNG/BIRCHETT
FERNIMEN, John bought land in Randolph Co Ark in 1899. He was b. in 1851 (where?), mar. to Martha Jane Young 1882 Oregon CO MO, div. a few years later, had only 1 child by 1st marriage: Christopher Columbus Fernimen b. 1883. John then was remarried to Helen Birchett in 1890 and had about 9 or 10 more children. He died in 1941. Anyone researching this FERNIMEN line? Submitter: Lisa Duitman

FERNIMEN
Am searching for JOHN FERNIMEN and his family. He purchased land in Randolph Co in Nov 1899 but I can't seem to locate him in a census anywhere. He was married 1st to Martha Jane Young in Oregon Co MO 5 mar 1882, had 1 son, Christopher Columbus Fernimen b. 22 Feb 1883 (Ark or MO?) and then was divorced. He married 2nd to Helen Birchett and had a large family of about 9 children. There is a record of a ROBERT FERNIMEN who died in July 1979 in Dalton or Pocahontas in Randolph Co. It's very possible that he was one of the children from the second marriage. Does anyone have knowledge of this Fernimen group? Submitter: Lisa Duitman

GRIFFITH/MONTGOMERY
My great-grandparents, Smith Webb GRIFFITH and Mary Amanda (MONTGOMERY) GRIFFITH are buried in Randolph County. Is there a cemetery named Will White? Could someone please tell me the location of that cemetery, and how I can find out about that cemetery's records. There are probably other members of the GRIFFITH family buried there also. alexander black was my great grandfather born in dublin,ireland to an unnamed black family on august 20,1820. he married ist wife hanna laforce and had4 children ann 1847;alexander william 1850; james 1854; and elizabeth.hanna died sometime before 1867 becuse that is when he married his 2nd wife harriett jane marriott rogers march 3, 1867 in lawerence county ark. they had 4 kids: ava 1869;bynum ferrill 28 mar 1871(my grandfather- a church of christ preacher in ne ark until early 1900s.;ida black; and levi black.bynum f. black married maggie (margaret) english my grandmother in wiiliford ark 3/28/1871. my grandmother maggie e. black was born ravenden springs ark. 4/27/1877 randolph county ark. my father upton sinclair black was bornn ravenden springs ark june 6 1906. my grandmother margaret elizabeth english born in ravenden springs was an english. father was william english born mar 21 1846 in ark and died may 8 1866 in randolph county,ark. at age 61. his father was stephen enlish and mother was thene looney(1st wife). her brother was william looney "will" english- a church of christ preacher in ravenden springs, ark. . william english's 2nd wife was rachel pulse?. they had 6 children including henry clay english from pocahuntus , randolph county ark. henry's wife was named maude. so any help with alexander black from dublin ireland or maggie elezabeth english , my grandmother or bynum ferrill black my grandfather, a church of christ preacher listed in the book "arkansas angels" abou ne ark church of christ preachers would be appreciated.
