This group of athletes in times long ago was known as the "Burr, Missouri Ball Team". Making up the squad were, front row, from left, Bill Palmer, Claude Wright, Henry Holt, Ad Pond and Tom Holt. Back row, from left, Herman Robinson, Perry Murphy, Fred Wright, Tom Murphy, Will Phillips and Ed Grissom. The photo is thought to have been about 1908. Mrs. Ruth Pond Wiggins of Tulsa, Okla., who owns the photo states that insofar as she knows, only one of the team, Will Phillips of Doniphan, Mo., is still living.
