Family picture 1914 - Family photo of the Irvine family. Ida Jane Dalton Irvine is seen holding my infant father, Fred Irvine Sr. Her husband was Harry Jefferson Irvine. They met in Randolph County picking cotton. Harry was from Indiana and it is believed he wanted to go Arkansas because he was running from the law. Ida Jane's parents (David Daniel and Rachel Young Dalton) did not want her to marry Harry because he was a northerner. Harry and Ida moved to Iowa and later Illinois where Harry ran pearl button factories. Ida made many trips back to Randolph County during the Depression to bring food, clothing, and medicine to her relatives
