Mays/Bennett
Ben. F. MAYS, popular circuit clerk and recorder and Miss Minnie
BENNETT, charming daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Bennett of this
city, pulled off a great surprise on their many friends last
Saturday night by getting married. The ceremony was performed at
the home of the bride's parents in the presence of only a few
intimate friends. The Rev. W. _? McEwen, pastor of the Baptist
Church officiating.
Both Mr. Mays and his bride are among the most popular young
people of the town and enjoy a large circle of friends who wish
for them every happiness in their future journey through life.
Monday night after church the final ceremonies took place in the
nature of the old fashioned Charivari participated in by probably
one hundred or more friends of the bride and groom.
