He is survived by his wife, Ruth Hudson Duncan of the home. Funeral services were held Sat. in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with Rev. Nelson Henderson officiating, with burial in Randolph Memorial Gardens.
MARY RUTH HOLCOMB, 58, Pocahontas, died Sat., April 28, 2001, at St. Bernard's Medical Center, Jonesboro. She was born April 29, 1942, near Pollard, a dau. of the late Carl Henry & Florence (Robbins) Holcomb. Funeral services were held Mon. in the Chapel of McNabb Funereal Home with Carl Massey officiating, with burial in Randolph Memorial Gardens.
FERNE MARGARET WHITLOCK, 85, Pocahontas, died Mon., April 30, 2001, at her home. She was born May 30,1915 in Toledo, Iowa. Burial will be held in Forest Lawn Cem. in Glendale, Calif.
JOE W. KILLOUGH, 77, of Bosque Farms, N.M., died Sat., April 21, 2001. He was born July 29, 1923 to the late Aubrey S. & Olta Hord Killough in the Brockett community. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mildred Milan Killough of the home. Funeral services were held April 24, at Bosque Farms Church of Christ there with Roger Holm officiating. Interment followed at Sunset Memorial Park there.
GLENDA FAY TRIPP, 62, Maynard, died Wed., April 25, 2001, at her home. She was born Dec. 23, 1938 in Pocahontas, a dau. of Ella Mae (Giles) McCandless & the late Van Edward McCandless. Her husband, A.V. Tripp, also preceded her in death. Graveside services were held Sat. in Masonic Cem. with Gerald Fears officiating. McNabb Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Chief Warrant Officer Houston H. Richardson of Pocahontas, was promoted to the second highest Warrant Officer pay grade while stationed at Camp Chaffee.
William Jansen, stationed at Scott Field, Ill., visited with his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Martin Jansen.

Serving aboard the USS Lofberg, operating with the fast carrier Task Force 77 off the coast of Korea, is James W. Johnston, storekeeper third class, U.S. Navy, son of Mr. & Mrs. Harold L. Johnston, Maynard Rt., Pocahontas.
Clark Lincoln, son of Mr. & Mrs. Hulen Lincoln, Maynard, is expected home the latter part of this wk. for a 20-day leave with his parents & relatives. He's been serving aboard the USS Los Angeles for 14 months & has been in the Korean War Zone since Sept., 1952.
Marine T-Sgt. Frank W. Gunn, 28, son of Charles E. Gunn, Pocahontas, of the Marines, has completed "Operation Sea Jump", the largest Navy-Marine maneuvers on the West Coast since 1948.
Pvt. Mack Garrison, who with Mrs. Garrison has been living in Leesville, La., will sail June 3 for overseas duty. Mrs. Garrison will make her home with her parents, Mr. & Mrs. John Shively, Pocahontas.
Billy Joe Counts, serving with the 45th Infantry Division in Korea, was promoted to Corporal on April 30. He entered the Army Jan. 24, 1952, & was sent overseas Dec. 30, 1952.
Pvt. Thomas N. Collins, Pocahontas, has arrived at Fort Hood, Tex., where he will be assigned to Combat Command "B" of the fames First Armored Division for basic training.

Helen Hufstedler on March 25, 1925, in Pocahontas. She preceded him in death on March 17, 1987. Services were Aug. 11 in the Velma Church of Christ with Kevin Ballard officiating, assisted by Claude Dunn.
