Pulaski County was formed in 1818 from Arkansas County, the parent county.

In 1880 there was Ashley, Bayou Meto, Big Rock, Campbell, Eagle, Eastmann, Ellis, Fourche, Gray,
        Maumelle, Mineral, Owen, Pyeatt, Roland, Union, and Young.

In 1900 there was Ashley, Badgett, Bayou Meto, Big Rock, Campbell, Eagle, Eastman, Ellis, Fourche 
       (Alexander Town), Gray, Hill, Maumelle, Mineral, Owen, Pyeatt, Roland, Union, Worthen, and Young.

ASHLEY - created 1857 from part of Big Rock and Eagle Twps.  Part to Young Twp in 1875.

BAYOU METO - created 1840.  Annexed to Lonoke Co. in 1873 and back to Pulaski Co. 1875.

BADGETT - created 1888 from part of Big Rock Twp.

BIG ROCK - created 1823.  Part to Ashley Twp 1857. Part to Lafave Twp 1860. Part to Badgett Twp 1888.

BRODIE - created 1891 from part to Fourche Twp.

CADRON - created about 1832.  Annexed to Conway Co. 1825.

CAMPBELL - created 1852.  Part to Union Twp 1859, part returned to Campbell Twp 1860.

CAROLINE - created 1829-1836.  Part annexed to Prairie Co. 1846.  Part added to Gray Twp 1847.
           Back to Pulaski Co. 1869, and annexed to Lonoke Co in 1873.

CLEAR LAKE - annexed from Prairie Co 1869 and annexed to Lonoke Co 1873.

CYPRESS - Name changed from Duncan Twp 1867, annexed to Faulkner Co 1873.

DUNCAN - created 1858.  Name changed to Cypress 1867.

EAGLE - created 1829-1836.  Part annexed to Ashley Twp 1857. Part annexed to Lonoke Co 1873.

EASTMANN - name changed from Lafave 1867.  Part to Young Twp 1875 and part to Hill Twp 1885.

ELLIS - annexed from Saline Co 1875 and part reannexed to Saline Co 1885.

FOURCHE - created 1838.  Part to Brodie Twp 1891.

GRAY - created 1847 from parts of Caroline and Prairie Twps which remain in Pulaski Co after
       the creation of Prairie Co in 1846.  Part annexed to Lonoke Co 1873.

HARDIN - created 1823.  Annexed to Conway Co. 1825.

HILL - created 1885 from part of Eastmann Twp.

LAFAVE - created 1860 from part of Big Rock Twp. Name changed to Eastman 1867.

MAUMELLE - created 1842.  Part to Owen Twp 1852. Part to Roland Twp 1875.

MINERAL - created 1852.

OWEN - created 1852 from part of Maumelle Twp.

PERKINS - annexed from Saline Co in 1915.

PLANT - created 1851.  Annexed to Faulkner Co 1873.

PRAIRIE - created 1841.  Part annexed to Prairie Co 1846 and remainder to Gray Twp 1847.
          Annexed back to Pulask Co 1869 and annexed to Lonoke Co 1873.
