WEHNER, Henry

Funeral service for Henry Wehner, widely known farmer of Freedom Township, who was found dead at his home near Rocky, Friday morning, was held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Beasley-Wood Chapel with the Rev. Charles Burgess officiating. Burial was at Pinecrest Memorial Park. The pallbearers were Lou and Olin Terrell, Gene Wright, Harry and Percy Lance, Alfred Rostollan, David Greer and Earnest Sunderman. Mr.Wehner was born January 1, 1881 at Retz Bach,Germany. He came to the United States in 1907 and homesteaded the farm west of Mena where he spent the remainder of his life.He was employed as a fireman on the Kansas City Southern railroad for a number of years after coming to Polk county before devoting his entire time to farming. His first wife Mrs. Mary Wehner, preceded him in death May 2, 1938, and seven years ago he was married to Mrs. Mamie Wilson at Tulsa, Okla., who survives him. Other survivors are two brothers, Casper and Frank Wehner, both of Tulsa, Okla.

WINGER, Mr. Bruce Irvan
- age 55, of Mena, AR died Monday, June 15, 1998, in the Sparks Regional Medical Center. He was born on September 16, 1942 in Batravia, New York, the son of the late Fredrick Winger and Constance Bolton Winger. He was united in marriage to Grace Plecha on January 27, 1962, in Clarence, New York. He made his home in Polk County since 1984, was retired from the ARCO Oil Refinery in Carson, California, and was a member of the A.F.L.C.I.O. Survivors include his wife, Grace Winger; mother Constance Winger; 3 sons: Thomas Winger, Ronnie Winger, and Rodney Winger; 2 daughters: Brenda Winger and Robin Winger; 1 brother, Douglas Winger; 1 sister, Jean Bernecky; and nine grandchildren. Funeral services will bbe held Thursday, June 18, at 2 P.M. in the Revival Center with Rev. Benny Parks and Rev. Reginald Fryar officiating. Interment will be in the Witherspoon Cemetery under the direction of Hall funeral service of Mena.
