Risenhoover, George W.
Funeral service for George W. Risenhoover, 80 year old resident of Opal was held Thrusday afternoon at 2:30 at the Union Church at Pine Ridge with Rev. Sam Sherman officiating.Interment was beside his wife in the Pine Ridge Cemetery, directed by the Geyer Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Kenneth Rogers,Vestal Fryar,Hezie Fryar,Olen Goodner, M.L.Singleton and Windell Risenhoover. Mr.Risenhoover was born June 10,1871, in Polk County,Arkansas.He grew to manhood near the place of his birth,and lived his entire life in Polk and Montgomery counties. He was married Dec. 27,1891, to Melissa Snyder at Pine Ridge. Mr.Risenhoover was a farmer by profession,and was one of the old timers who spent many years of working long hours on the farm, to do his bit in developing this part of Arkansas. he always believed in honesty and justice to his fellow man. He was preceeded in death by his wife, August 23,1950. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Mary Lee of Pine Ridge, one son, Almer Risenhoover of Opal, six daughters, Mrs.Minnie McCulley of Oklahoma City, Mrs.Donna Cantine of Benton, Ill, Mrs. Homer Philpot of Nevada City, Calif., Mrs.Pete Randall of Adamson, Okla.,Mrs.Hoyt Rogers of Oden, Ark.and Mrs.Albert Mote of Fresno,Calif. Also 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Robbins, Mrs. Leota Bell
- 76, of Mena died Thursday morning in a local nursing home. She ws born September 2, 1904 at Ada, Oklahoma. Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon in the Beasley-Wood Chapel with Elder Bill Barton and Elder William E. Clark officiating. Interment was in Owens Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Beasley-Wood Funeral Home. Pallbearers were William Cogburn, Bill Johnston, Jr., Randy Thomas, Ralph Hicks, Odalee West and Billy Barton. Mrs. Robbins was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Keithley. She was married to the late John S. "Jack" Robbins on March 22, 1923 at Tonkawa, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on September 11, 1972. She was a member of the Harmony Primitive Baptist Church. Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Pauline Coursey, Foreman, Ark.; two sisters, Mrs. Alpha Smith, Ada, Okla., and Mrs. Lida Hilton, Barstow, Calif.; three grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren.
