LANCASTER, Viola B.
Surnames: Lancaster, Henry, Bates, Holcomb, McGowan
Viola B. Lancaster, age 80, of Mena died Thursday, June 25, 1998 at Rich
Mountain Manor in Mena. She was born May 12, 1918 in Mt. Ida, Arkansas to
the late James Clayton Bates and Mary Mollie Sheffield Bates. She was a
homemaker and was of the Christian faith. Survivors include her daughter,
Charlotte Henry; sister, Lois Bates; grandsons, Jared, Jason, and Juston
Henry; granddaughters, Jana Holcomb and Rachelle McGowen; 7 great
grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Lancaster was united in
marriage to Mr. Charles Ward Lancaster on September 17, 1938 who preceded
her in death in June of 1990. A private graveside service was held by the
family June 26, 1998 at Cedar Creek Cemetery in Parks, Arkansas.
Arrangements were under the direction of Beasley-Wood Funeral Home of
Mena.

Minerva Ferguson. (note: mother’s name added by a person after the
card was filed in the Polk Co. Library, Was not in the original obit in
newspaper.)
