Christian Gage Yarbro, 5-day-old son of Robert and April Yarbro of Trumann, died Tuesday at the Children's Hospital in Little Rock, due to heart failure. He was preceded in death by one brother, Dylan Wayne Yarbro and his great-grandfather, Milford Cossey. Survivors in addition to his parents include grandparents Ronnie Norman of Michigan and Susan Norman of Trumann and Wayne and Sherry Elliott of Trumann; great-grandparents Earnestine Dedman, James Simpson, both of Trumann, Loretta Boguard of Harrisburg, James and Krisian Yarbro of Osceola and Carolyn Norman of Indiana; seven uncles, Eric Norman, Chris Norman, Billy McCorkle, Justin Elliot, Allen Elliot, Bryan Elliot, all of Trumann and Ronnie Norman III of Michigan, one aunt, Buffey McCorkle of Trumann and his god mother, Patricia Ward (Widdy) of Trumann. Graveside service was held Saturday morning at Tyronza Cemetery, with Gary Andrews officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home of Osceola.

Yarbro, John Hodge

John Hodge Yarbro, 49, of Jonesboro, died Wednesday at St. Barnard's Regional Medical Center. Born and raised in Harrisburg, he was the owner and operator of Med-South Home Services of Jonesboro. He was an Army veteran, a member of the First United Methodist Church in Jonesboro and of the ASU Alumni Association. His parents, John Cade and Juliet Yarbro, preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Macel Ann Yarbro of the home; two brothers, Robert Yarbro of Pangburn and Joseph Yarbro of Paragould; three sisters, Vera Casey and Dorothy Petty of St. Louis, MO and Lois Setzer of Long Beach, MS. Graveside services will be at 10 Friday morning at the Holly Springs Cemetery with interment following. Rev. Fred Haustein will officiate. Jackson's Harrisburg Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements. Visitation will be from 5:30 until 9 this evening at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that consideration be given to the Holly Spring Cemetery or the charity of choice.

Yarbrough, Thomas E.

Thomas Earl Yarbrough Jr., 69 of 353 Holly Ave., Trumann, died Tuesday at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in Jonesboro, he had lived most of his life in Trumann. He owned and operated Earl's Supermarket before retiring in 1982. He was past president of the Trumann Chamber of Commerce and was a former member and past chairman of the Trumann Housing Authority. He was a member of the St. Francis Lake Association and was a member of the Viva Drive Church of Christ in Trumann. Survivors include his wife Kathlyn Yarbrough of the home; one daughter, Ruth Ann Estes of Paragould; one son, Tommy Yarbrough of Cherokee Village; two sisters, Nina Whitlatch of Trumann and Nancy Young of Jonesboro; one brother, Kenneth Yarbrough of Jonesboro; seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by one daughter, one brother and one grandson. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann, with his grandsons, Jeff Estes and Joe Sprangler officiating. Burial will be in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Todd Whitlatch, Tony Coke, Clarence Woodard, Gerald Smith, Wally Shrader, Donnie Guffey and Kemp Childs. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Breunna Young, infant daughter of Lakeitha Robinson and Kenneth Young, both of Lepanto, died Sunday at the Regional Medical Center of NEA of Jonesboro. Survivors other than her parents include, one sister, Teara Akins of the home; one brother, Bradon Young of Lepanto; maternal grandparents, Odessia Joplin of Trumann and R.B. Robinson of Madison, WI, and paternal grandparents, James T. and Martha Young of Lepanto. Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 11 at the Industrial Street Church of Christ, with John Graham officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Rest Cemetery at Lepanto, under the direction of Sims-Woodard Funeral Home of Marked Tree. Visitation will be from 4 this afternoon to 6 this evening at the funeral home.

Young, Carl

Funeral services for Carl Young, 77, 437 Marcus St., Trumann, will be Wednesday morning at 10 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann, with Rev. Bennie Brooks officiating. Burial will follow in Bolivar Cemetery at Harrisburg. Active pallbearers will be Felix Whitaker, Robert Whitaker, Boyce Whitaker, Tim Whitaker, Donnie Young and Kenny Whitaker. Honorary pallbearers will include Carlton Wilson, Charles Whitaker and Nathan Whitaker. Young died Sunday at his home. Born April 13, 1923, in Deer, he had lived in Trumann for 10 years, and was formerly of California. He was retired missile tester for Aero Jet and was a member of Granite Bay Baptist Church in California. He was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers, and he was the son of the late Lee Wright and Julia Brown Young. Survivors include his wife, Vera M. Young of the home; two sons, Wayne Young of Harrisburg and Dennis C. Young of Colorado Springs, CO; one sister, Judy Lee Paul of Branson, MO; three brothers, Murriel Young of Tonanoxie, KS, Jim Young of Branson, MO, and Gerald Young of San Pablo, CA; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 this afternoon until 8 this evening at the funeral home.

Eddie Lee Young Sr., 46, of Chicago, IL, died Sunday at Holy Cross Hospital in Chicago. He was born in Marked Tree, and was self-employed. He was an Army veteran and was of the Pentecostal belief. Survivors include his wife, Coreatha Young of the home; one son, Eddie Lee Young Jr. of the home; four daughters, Linda Young and Jennifer Young, both of the home, Melanie Carter of Marked Tree and Chalak Young of Milwaukee, WI; five sisters, Virdie Watson of Jonesboro, Dorothy Murphy, Mary Turner, Virdia Young, all of Lepanto and Doris Jean Moore of Chicago, IL; four brothers, James T. Young Jr., Norvell Young, Robert Young, all of Lepanto and John Henry Young of Denver, CO; and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be Saturday afternoon at 1 at the Pentecostal Temple Church of God in Christ in Marked Tree, with Elder John Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Rock of Ages Cemetery in Tyronza, under the direction of Sims-Woodard Funeral Home of Marked Tree. Active pallbearers will be Kenneth Young, James Young, Marcus Johnson, Terry Carter, Leon Murphy, and Robert Turner. Visitation will be Friday afternoon from 5 until 7 that evening at Sims-Woodard Funeral Home in Marked Tree.

Young, Myrtle Valley (Pearce)

Mrs. Myrtle Valley Pearce Young, 99, 105 Hinson Rd., Marked Tree, died Monday at Three Rivers Nursing Home at Marked Tree. Born Jan. 10, 1901, in Swifton and lived in Trumann prior to moving to Marked Tree six years ago. She was a retired teacher for Trumann schools and was a member of the Viva Drive Church of Christ in Trumann. She was preceded in death by her husband, Loice Young, in 1972, and by one sister and two brothers and was the daughter of the late Henry and Mollie Charlotte Croom Pearce. Survivors include one son, Terrell Young of Trumann; one brother, Noel Pearce of Sarasota, FL; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Wednesday afternoon at 2 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann, with Bill Willard officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery in Jonesboro. Visitation will be from 5 this afternoon until 8 this evening at the funeral home.
