Mrs. Juanita Worthington Vinson, 71, of Trumann, died Tuesday (1-4-2000) at her home. Born July 1, 1928 at Swifton, she had lived in Trumann for the past 49 years. She was a retired employee of the Parker Hannifin Corp. in Trumann and a member of the First Assembly of God, where she was active in the women's ministries and Sunday school class. Survivors include two daughters, Sheralyn Holder of Trumann and Carolyn S. Moss of Harrisburg; five sons, Jerry L. Vinson, Larry D. Vinson, Robert E. Vinson, all of Trumann, Ira Wayne Vinson of Jonesboro and Ricky H. Vinson of Gardendale, AL; three sisters, Alma Wright of Newport, Mary Hester Young of St. Louis, MO, and Emogene Gentry of Bald Knob; two brothers, Mitchell Worthington of Swifton and Robert Worthington of Trumann; 14 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by her husband, Rassie Harlan "Red" Vinson, one sister and two brothers and was the daughter of the late Matthew & Lily Hopkins Worthington. Funeral services will be Thursday afternoon at 1:30 at the First Assembly of God on North Willow Road in Trumann, with Rev. Kenneth Doke and Rev. Larry Tribble officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery. Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. of Trumann is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Jason Lamb, Glen D. Vinson, Larry D. Vinson, Lynn Vinson, Michael Vinson and Robert A. Vinson. Honorary pallbearers will be Carl Chandler, Carmack Johnson, Leroy Mabe, Kenny Maxwell, Herb Maxwell and Dub Smith. Visitation will be this afternoon from 5 until 8 this evening at the First Assembly of God Church.
