Edward Daymon Taylor, 77, of Trumann, died Thursday morning at his home. He was born on March 16, 1923, in Trumann and remained a resident throughout his lifetime. He owned and was the CEO of Town and Country Industrial Supplies in Trumann, was a member of the Trumann Jaycees and Lions Club. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Trumann. He was preceded in death by his father, Raven Edward Taylor. Survivors include his wife Mrs. Ruth Mauvolene Palmer Taylor of the home; two daughters, Paula Morgan of Trumann and Marcia Finnegan of Warrick, NY; one son, Scott Taylor of Trumann; his mother, Mrs. Florence Taylor of Berryville; a sister, Eloise Ballard of Berryville; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10 in the First United Methodist Church of Trumann, with Rev. Pat Sims and Rev. David Moose officiating. Joel Edward Taylor, 16, 13410 Dixie Lane, Trumann, died Monday morning (Dec. 27, 1999) in a car/train accident in Jonesboro. Joel was born January 19, 1983, in Jonesboro. He was a junior at Trumann High School and was assistant manager of Price Chopper in Trumann. He was of the Baptist belief. Mr. Terrell was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Rena L. Terrell; a daughter, Joann Terrell Carter; and one grandson, William E. "Billy" Carter. Mr. Terrell was the son of Joseph E. and Bellzoria Clay Terrell.

We regret very much to chronicle the death of Mrs. Thorn, wife of our fellow townsman, A.S. Thorn, which occurred on Monday night at her home in the eastern part of the city of that dreaded malady, pneumonia. She was carried to Poinsett County, Arkansas, yesterday and laid to rest in the family cemetery. Mr. Thorn is seriously ill also and could not accompany the body.

Thomas W. "Tom" Tullos, 78, of Trumann, died Thursday night, Nov. 23, at Rose Care Nursing Center in Trumann of natural causes. Tullos was born in Trumann and had lived most of his lifetime in Trumann. He was formerly of Oxford, MS and Memphis, TN. He was a retired University Librarian for the University of Mississippi in Oxford and for the University of Memphis in Memphis. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Trumann having served on the administrative board and the board of trustees and was a former member of the Trumann City Library Board. There are no immediate survivors. Tullos was preceeded in death by his parents, Dr. Augustus Madison and Thelma Oma Mulloy Tullos, one sister, Mary Celeste Tullos and one half-brother, Mayo Tullos. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, Nov. 26 at the First United Methodist Church in Trumann with Rev. Pat Sims officiating. Burial followeed at the Oaklawn Cemetery in Jonesboro. LaVern Turner, 75, of Dyess, died Tuesday at his home. A retired farmer, he was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Dyess and was a veteran of WWII. He was preceded in death by three sisters, two brothers and one grandchild. Survivors include his wife, Mary L. William Thomas "Bill" Turner, 66, died Sunday, December 14, 2003, at the Regional Medical Center of NEA at Jonesboro, AR. Mr. Turner was born April 19, 1937, at Parkin, AR, the son of John Henry and Flossie Mae Smith Turner. A lifetime resident of the Harrisburg area. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing when able. He retired from Slant & Slant in Trumann, AR and later from Wilshire in Marked Tree. He was a maintenance man. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Jean Turner on November 6, 2001, and a sister, Johnnie Mae Pruitt. Survivors include one sister, Florence Harbison of Nashville, TN; four brothers, Carol Turner of Rockford, IL, Leroy Turner of Payneway, Freddie Joe Turner of Maynard, and Glen Wages of Phoenix, AZ; two sons, Kellie Joe Turner and William Tod Turner both of Harrisburg; three daughters, Linda Gail Crow of Mt.
