Freddie Lee "Fred" Qualls, 59, of Harrisburg died Saturday morning, July 31, 2004 at St. Bernard?s Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro. Mr. Qualls was born December 23, 1944, at Parkin, AR, the son of Otto and Carrie Mae Jordan Qualls. He married Brenda Bennett on Aug 28, 1963, and they enjoyed 41 years together. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and loved to play dominoes and solitaire. He was a carpenter and of the Catholic faith. In addition to his parents, one brother, Thomas Qualls, preceded him in death. Survivors include his spouse, Brenda of the home; one son, Freddie Otto Qualls of the home; one daughter, Laura Colleen Marple and husband Alan, of Harrisburg; seven sisters, Joyce Wilson and husband Bill, of Fernville, MI, Lois Goucher and husband Larry of North Little Rock, Annie Yaneris and husband Jim of Doniphan, MO, Linda Qualls of Holland, MI, Cheryl Qualls of North Little Rock, Janie Jones and husband Randy of Iron Mountain, MI, and Jo Ann Smith and husband Scott, of Zeeland, MI; three brothers, Frank and wife Kathy of Yellville, Ricky and Ronnie Qualls both of Holland, MI; two grandchildren, Brian and Chris Marple; one great grandchild, Ethan Marple. Funeral services were held Monday at the Weston Funeral Service Chapel, with Rev. Rob Welborn officiating. Internment followed at Farm Hill Cemetery near Harrisburg. Active pallbearers were Steven Windle, Tommy Goucher, Shane Ducan, Scott Goucher, George Duncan, and Walter Mays. Honorary pallbearers were Gary Schoonover, Michael Woodard, Walter Mays, and Keith Duncan.
