Mrs. Beulah M. Pant, 86, of Harrisburg, died Tuesday at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in LaGrange County, IN, she was a homemaker. Survivors include three sons, Donald Freed of LaGrange, IN, Henry W. Pant of Fairborn, OH, and Morris A. Pant of Harrisburg; a sister, Ida Wells of Garrett, IN; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry T. Pant, and a son. Lola Estella Parrish, 100, of Trumann, died Monday at Lakeside Nursing Home in Lake City, of natural causes. Born in Savannah, TN, she had lived in Trumann since 1935 and was formerly of Tyronza. She was a homemaker and a member of the Viva Drive Church of Christ in Trumann. Survivors include two daughters, Helen Brock and Beatrice Luna, both of Trumann; two sisters, Ethel Young and Virgie Young McCorkle; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Parrish in 1971, one daughter, Ocene Brooks; five sisters and one brother and was the daughter of the late Frank and Mattie Young. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann, with Joe Spangler officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery. Ludie Murl Penna, 75, 605 Edgerton St., Trumann, died Sunday morning at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center. He was born in Booneville, MS, Nov. 18, 1924, and had lived in Trumann for 51 years. He was retired from the Singer Co. and was a member of the Parkview Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by one brother and was the son of the late Walter & Dezzie Johnson Penna. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Hare Penna of the home; four sons, Ludie M. "Buddy" Penna Jr. of Jasper, AL, James R. Penna of Bay Minette, AL, William E. Penna of Brandon, MS, and Eddie C. "Chris" Penna of Trumann; two sisters, Nova Lee Thacker of Corinth, MS, and Loree Lambert of Booneville, MS; and seven grandchildren. Mrs. Bonnie Mae Perrone, 69, of Roswell, died Monday in Roswell. Born in Etowah, she had lived in Roswell for the past four months and was formerly of the Searcy and Trumann areas. She was a homemaker and of the Church of Christ belief. Miss Cledia May Perry was born January 12, 1962, to Mr. and Mrs. Cleopha M. Perry, Sr., in Marked Tree. She attended and graduated Marked Tree High School in 1980. She was a member of the Anderson Chapel M.B. Church, and was a member of the Anderson Chapel Warriors. Survivors include a son, Jarrett Akeem Perry of the home; her mother, Rosetta Perry of Marked Tree; three brothers, Rufus Hamilton of Twist, AR, Cleopha M. Bennie Lee Pipes, 75, of Trumann, died Monday, Nov. 27 at Regional Medical Center of Northeast Arkansas in Jonesboro of natural causes. Pipes was born in Harrisburg, and had lived in Trumann since 1971. He was formerly of Kansas City, MO. He was retired mechanic for Town and Country International in Jonesboro, a veteran of the U.S. Army and WWII and of the Church of Christ belief. He was preceeded in death by one granddaughter, Donna Ann Pipes in 1998; one sister, Mildred Jarrett; one brother, Charlie Pipes and was the son of the late Jim and Beulah Duty Pipes. Survivors include his wife, Illa Dean McCarty Pipes of the home; two daughters, Glenda Parsley and Brenda Creezy Pipes, both of Trumann; one son, Donnie Pipes of Trumann; four sister, Mardra Davis, of Jonesboro, Sylvia Parsley, of Jacksonville, OR, Syble Meyer, of Independence, MO, and Hazel Lindsey, of Byhilia, MS; one brother, Willie Pipes, of Jonesboro; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Novice V. Privett, 76, of Payneway, died Friday at the Regional Medical Center of NEA in Jonesboro. Mr. Privett was born on April 8, 1924, at Imboden. He was the son of the late Paul and Nancy Burns Privett. He was a lifelong resident of Poinsett County and farmed most of his life. He owned and operated a grocery store and used car lot in Payneway. He was a World War II Marine veteran. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Faye New Privett of the home; three sons, Tommy Privett of Cleveland, MS, Mickey Privett of Harrisburg and Phillip Privett of McGhee; three daughters, Barbara House of Harrisburg, Diane Sefers of Harrisburg and Sandra Privett of Alameda, CA; one sister, Vera Taylor of Inverness, FL; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, one son, Dr. Keith Privett, precedes in him in death. A graveside service will be held this afternoon at 2 at Harrisburg Memorial Park. He was a maintenance worker for Parker Hannifin Co. in Trumann and was of the Baptist belief. His father, Jim Proctor and one brother, William James Proctor, preceded Mr. Proctor in death. Survivors include his wife, Doris Plunkett Proctor of the home; one stepdaughter, Leona Willcockson of Trumann; one stepson, William Willcockson of Trumann; his mother, Nancy Ann Stinson of Trumann; one sister, Bettie Farley of Phoenix, AZ; and two grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 this afternoon until 8 this evening at Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann. There will be no funeral services held. The body will be cremated.
