Funeral services for Curtis Napier Jr., 75, of Bono, have been scheduled for 1 Wednesday afternoon at the Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home chapel. Brooks Glenn and William Peacock will officiate, and burial will follow at Bolivar Cemetery north of Harrisburg. Napier died Sunday at his residence. Born at Hazard, KY, he was a member of Sovereign Grace Baptist Church in Jonesboro where he taught Sunday school for many years. He served in the U. S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War. He moved to Jonesboro in 1956 and was retired from GE in Jonesboro. He was preceded in death by a son, a daughter and two grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Virginia A. Napier of the home; a son, Curtis Napier III of Azusa, CA; two daughters, Francine Chamlies of Lunsford and Deborah Levins of Jonesboro; two brothers, Paul Napier of Manteca, CA, and Orville Napier of Paris, KY; two sisters, Lois Heath of Paris, KY, and Geneva Courville of Jonesboro; and two grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 tonight at the funeral home. The family requests that persons wishing to leave lasting memorials consider the St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center Cardiac Rehab program.
Robert Earl Needler, 63, of Marked Tree, died March 26,1991, at his home. He was a retired factory worker and a World War II veteran. Survivors include Three daughters, Pam Needler of Marked Tree, AR, Debra Barker of Benton Harbor, MI, and Tina Marie Needler; one brother of Chesterton, IN; and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be Monday April 1,1991 at 1 p.m. at the Wilson Funeral Home chapel in Tyronza with Gary Andrews officiating. Burial will follow at the Shady Grove Cemetary in Evadale. Visitation will be Monday morning from 10 until 1 in the afternoon at the funeral home.
Alene Newberry, 84, of Harrisburg, died Tuesday, July 20, 2004, at the Woodbriar Nursing Home in Harrisburg. Mrs. Newberry was born October 4, 1919, at Greenfield, AR and was a lifetime resident of the Harrisburg area. She was a homemaker and one of the founding members of Calvary Baptist Church in Harrisburg. She loved to sew, read and spend time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, and by her husband Noel R. Newberry. Survivors include two sons, Johnny Newberry of Harrisburg and Ray Newberry of San Antonio, TX; two daughters, Gerry Newberry and Janet Nolan both of Harrisburg, eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday, July 23 at the Weston Funeral Service Chapel in Harrisburg with the Rev. Tommy Woodruff officiating. Interment followed in Holly Springs Cemetery near Harrisburg.

Bernest Nixon, Jr. 38 of Trumann, Arkansas died December 20, 2003 at his residence.
He was born at Tulot, AR; He was an employee of Thomas & Betts in Jonesboro. He
was a 1985 graduate of Trumann High School, College graduate of ASU in Jonesboro
and South Tech College in Little Rock, AR. Survivors include one son Xavier
Nixon of the home. His parents Bernest Sr., & Allie Mae Nixon of Trumann, AR;
One sister Linda Nixon Burgess of Marianna, AR; Four brothers Earnes Nixon,
Ronnie Nixon, Charles Nixon, & Willis Nixon all of Trumann, AR. A host of nieces,
nephews, cousins and friends. He leaves to mourn him, Three devoted aunts
Verdell Brown, Ruby Brown, Mary Freeman. He was preceded in death by one sister;
Martha Ann Nixon, his grandparents Sermell & Lottie Brown, and Mr. & Mrs. Willis

Marsella Virginia McGlasson Norsworthy, 84, of Arlington, died Thursday in the North Richland Hills, TX. Born at Jonesboro, she was a homemaker and a part time school teacher. She was a member of the Weiner United Methodist Church for more than 60 years and was a lifetime honorary member of the St. Bernard's Medical Center Auxiliary and was a past worthy matron of the Weiner chapter of Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include one son, Morris Edward "Sonny" Norsworthy of Greers Ferry; one daughter, Margaret Ann Risk of Fort Worth, TX; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, S.J. Norsworthy. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home in Weiner with Tommy Toombs officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Weiner. Pallbearers will be Blake Norsworthy, Lee Norsworthy, Lloyd Wofford, Shawn Norsworthy, Richard Limbert and Trey Wofford. Louis Norwood Sr., 69, of Tyronza, died Sunday at his residence. He was a retired dispatcher for the Tyronza Police Department. A Blue Lodge Mason, he was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tyronza. Survivors include his wife, Frances Norwood of Tyronza; two daughters, Judith Ann Easley of Tyronza and Becky Smith of Searcy; three sons, David Lee Norwood of Onalaska, WI, Connie Ray Norwood of Mascoutah, IL, and Louis Norwood Jr. of Tyronza; two stepsons, Homer Morrow of Paragould and William Earl Morrow of Heafer; two brothers, Thomas Norwood of Bay and Douglas Norwood of Hillsboro, OR; 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son. Pallbearers will be Drexel Gill, David Woods, Jeff Miles, Brian Worhurst, Charles Gill, Don Bilyeu, Brad Novosad and Michael Henderson. Funeral services will be at 2 Tuesday afternoon at First Baptist Church of Tyronza with Rev. Raymond Routon officiating. Burial will be in Tyronza Cemetery.
