Kirby Lee LaFarlette, 80y, of 624 Mildred Street, Trumann, died Friday morning at the family residence. A native of Apt Community; he spent most of his life in the Trumann and Jonesboro area. A retired merchant taxicab operator, he was a member of the Trumann Revival Center. A daughter, Lila Mae McMasters, who died in 1964, preceded him in death. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Marie LaFarlette; three daughters, Mrs. Tomolene Carey of Brownwood, TX, Mrs. Imogene Harris of Lepanto and Mrs. Brenda Lunsford of Trumann; two sons, Jimmy LaFarlette of Lake Poinsett and Don LaFarlette of Fort Smith; five sisters, Mrs. Lillian Stotts of Trumann, Mrs. May Evans of Marked Tree, Mrs. Mary Barker of Bay, Mrs. Ruth Riley of Detroit, MI, and Mrs. Lee Jones of Rock Falls, IL; three brothers, D.C. LaFarlette and Hubert LaFarlette, both of Trumann, and Ray LaFarlette of Chicago, IL; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 1:30 Sunday afternoon at the Thompson Funeral Home chapel in Trumann with Rev. Jess Adams officiating. Burial was in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
Robert Stanley "Bob", 69, of 1700 Colonial Road, Jonesboro, died Wednesday morning at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center. Born in Harrisburg, he lived most of his life in the Jonesboro area. He worked in sales and marketing in the wholesale food industry. He had served in the Air Force and National Guard. He was active in both the Lions Club and the Chamber of Commerce. He was also a member of First Baptist Church of Jonesboro. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Betty Lamb of Jonesboro; one son, Robert Stanley Lamb of Jonesboro; one daughter, Susan Marie Lamb Cole of Jonesboro; two brothers, John T. Lamb of Prairie Grove and Bill Lamb of Germantown, TN; one sister, Joan Justus of Albuquerque, NM; and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10 in the main sanctuary of the First Baptist Church of Jonesboro, with Dr. Bruce Tippit officiating. Burial will follow in the Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of the Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. Willie Laverne Lamb, 83, of Harrisburg, died Sunday (1-16-2000) at Woodbriar Nursing Home in Harrisburg. Born in Weiner, she had worked as a teller at the Bank of Weiner. A homemaker, she and her husband owned Lamb's Grocery. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Harrisburg and the Harrisburg PTA. She was also a former member and president of the Harrisburg Mother's Club, and a member of the Progressive Century Club and the American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include one son, Robert "Bobby" Allen Lamb of Harrisburg; two daughters, Nancy Grayson Parker of Harrisburg and Linda Lynn Collier of Fredericksburg, VA; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Grayson Lamb; her grandmother; a brother and a sister. Miss Jordan Lynn Lambright, stillborn, died Sunday, May 9, 2004, at Crittenden Memorial Hospital in West Memphis, AR. Jordan was preceded in death by an infant brother, Dayton Riley Lambright. Archie Leonard Lancaster, 84, of Trumann died Monday, June 18, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro of natural causes. Born July 23,1916, in Cardwell, MO, he spent most of his life in the Trumann area, was a retired farmer and factory worker and a member of the Calvary Pentecostal Church in Trumann. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Patsy Ann Lancaster, and one son, John Wayne Lancaster; two sisters, two brothers and was the son of the late Robert and Mollie Bradford Lancaster. Surviving are his wife, Pauline Imogene Lancaster of the home; two daughters, Carolyn McElyea and Marion Lancaster, both of Trumann; two sons, Archie Lancaster of Bay and Kenneth Lancaster, of Trumann; one sister, Ruby Dodd of Trumann; 14 grandchildren; 34 great- grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur L. Lane. She was a retired school cook and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Harrisburg. Survivors include a daughter, Ilah Mae Bryant of Salem, IL; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and eight great-great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Leamon, a son, a brother and two sisters. She later moved to Driver Arkansas where she united with the Eagle Right M.B. Church. She also moved to Gilmore Arkansas where she united with the Pilgrim Rest Church where she served on the Mother board and was the Treasurer. Later she united with New Bethel Church where she served on the Mother Board. In 1948 she moved to Judd Hill and United with the Mt. Zion church where she served on the Mother Board and president of the Pastor's Aid society. On February 15, 1934 she married Mr. Fitzhugh T. Lee. On Thursday, January 23, 1992 at 4:40 a.m. she departed this life at Three Rivers Nursing Center, Marked Tree Arkansas. She leaves to mourn her passing a loving faithful husband Mr. Fitzhugh Lee, One sister Mrs. Mae F. Harvey at Three Rivers Nursing Center, Marked Tree Ark, One step-son Mr. Allen W. Funeral services for the late Fitzhugh T. (F.T.) Lee Saturday June 24, 1995 1:00 p.m. New Rising Sun Baptist Church Trumann, AR. Bro. Fitzhugh T. Lee was born on November 15, 1908 in Mount Olive, Mississippi. At an early age, Bro. Lee turned his life over to Christ, joining the Mt. Pleasant CME Church in Mount Olive, MS. Later in his life after converting to the Baptist faith, he joined the St. Mary's Baptist church in Pelo, MS. An ambitious young man, Bro. Lee attended Alcorn State College, graduating with a degree in agriculture. After moving to the Trumann area in 1948 and settling on the Judd Hill Plantation, Bro. Lee joined the Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church where he served in the positions of Deacon, Treasurer, and Superintendent of Sunday school. At the time of his death, he was a member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Jonesboro, AR. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vera Washington Lee in January 1992, after 58 years of marriage. He is survived by one son, Allen Wendell Lee of East St.Louis, Illinois, a grandson and granddaughters of East St. Louis. Two nieces Bernice Tate and Flora Lee, a nephew John Allen Lee of Chicago, Illinois a host of other relatives and numerous friends of the Trumann area are left in mourning. He will be laid to rest next to his wife at the Judd Hill Cemetery.

She was a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church of Marked Tree, where she served as an usher. She was a homemaker and lived in the Trumann-Jonesboro areas most of her life with the exception of 18 years in California. She was a member of the Westvale Baptist Church. Mrs. Patsy Camille Johnson Lindsey, 103 Flossie Drive, Trumann, 70, born Sep. 11, 1929 at Trumann, died Thursday (1-13-2000) at the family residence in Trumann. A lifetime resident of Trumann, she attended the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. She was a substitute teacher in the Trumann school system for a number of years and was the middle school secretary to the principal. She was a past president of the Century Arts and Civics Club, a member of the First United Methodist Church in Trumann and served as co-chairman for the establishment of the Trumann Museum. She was preceded in death by her in death by her parents, James Holman Johnson and Ruth Geneva Higgs Johnson. Survivors include her husband, Al Lindsey of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Henley of Trumann and Kim Hastings of Little Rock; two sons, Robert Lindsey of Sherwood and Tommy Lindsey of Trumann; one sister, Martha Ellen Howell of Van Buren and six grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Willie Mae Love of the home; five sons, Malcolm Love of Marked Tree, Monroe Love of Grady, Clarence Love of Oceanside, CA, Robert Love of Detroit, MI, and Willie Love of Blytheville; one daughter, Letha Atwater of Deluth, GA; two sisters, Lottie Rice and Bertha Johnson, both of Los Angeles, CA; two brothers, Columbia Ford of Los Angeles, CA, and Jesse Ford of Ponoma, CA; 35 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Anderson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Reginald Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Cherry Bean Cemetery at Tyronza with arrangements being made by Sims-Woodard Funeral Service of Marked Tree. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Jane Loven, 71, of Trumann, who died Tuesday afternoon at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home here, with Rev. Gary Barker officiating. Burial will follow in the Nettleton Cemetery in Jonesboro. Active pallbearers will include George Motes, Allen Biggers, John Reese and Gary Motes. Born in Sedgwick, she had spent most of her life in Trumann. She was a housewife and of the Pentecostal faith. Surviving are two daughters, Donis Pope and Sandy Sartin of Trumann; four sons, Gary Loven of Mountain Home, Ronnie Loven of Bay, Lester Loven of Jonesboro and Lawrence Loven of Lawton, OK; her mother, Sarah Lois Nichols of Jonesboro; a brother, Kenneth Rodgers of Port Salemo, FL; 13 grandchildren and 13 great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Loven, her father and a brother. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Haley Nicole Lowery, 14-day-old daughter of Mark Steven and Nickie Jones Lowery of Harrisburg, died Sunday (2-14-2000) at Arkansas Chrildren's Hospital in Little Rock. she was born Jan. 30 at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center. Survivors, in addition to the parents, include two brothers, Tyler Timbs and Nicholas Jones, both of Harrisburg; two sisters, Hanna Celeste Lowery and Katelyn Littlejohn, both of Newport; her grandparents, Shirley Jarvis of Harrisburg, Bobby Skinner of Atlanta, TX, and Ricky and Joan Lowery of Jonesboro; and great-grandparents, Melissa Kirby of Harrisburg, Walter Skinner of Brookland and Gatha Lowery of Newport. Graveside service have been scheduled for Wednesday morning at 11 at Farm Hill Cemetery. Burial will be under the direction of Jackson's Harrisburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include one son, Jerry Lung of Marked Tree; two daughters, sharon Willis of Marked Tree and Lesa Lung of Jonesboro; two brothers, Grover Parker of Risco, MO, and Alfred Parker of Sawyer, MI; two sisters, Dorothy Vonruedgisch of Fisk, MO, and Florence Monehan of Dexter, MO; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Lung and by one daughter. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Tuesday at Central Baptist Church in Marked Tree.
