We are writing a book about Arkansas curiosities and oddities for Globe Pequot Press. As part of our research, we are contacting various historical associations and museums around the state. We hope to include something from your area.
We’re looking for interesting and/or humorous anecdotes about quirky people, places, and events. For example, in our book proposal, we wrote about the World’s Shortest St. Patrick’s Day Parade, which is held in Hot Springs. We also had entries about Bug Scuffle Church in Washington County and the 1952 sighting of the Lake Conway Monster in Faulkner County.
