I am looking for the parents of Edmond S. WHITELEY, born 1872,
in Arkansas. He was married to Texie. I am also looking for
Texie's maiden name. Land records indicate that Edmond S.
Whiteley Homesteaded 160 acres in Newton County in 1891. Edmond
and Texie had four children. Arizona (daughter) borne 1894 in
Arkansas, Lemuel (son) borne 1897 in Arkansas, Dossie (daughter)
borne 1903 in Oklahoma, and Zeller also known as Zodie (daughter) born
1906 in Oklahoma.

For Nevada Co. Ar - Seek info on Reuben Ragland CORNELIUS (1810-1874) b-MO, and wife
Martha HEFFINGTON (d-1885) b-KY, who lived in Boughton Twn., then near Falcon.
His brothers include William Cornelius (d-1852) and Jester Cornelius (1819-
1862). Also Reuben Edward Cornelius (1842-1905) who was postmaster of Clayton in 1870.
Descendants still in Nevada and neighboring counties. Also Ira Cornelius (1816ca-1888) b-north
AL, lived Albany Twn. Nevada Co.AR from 1850s. Both families of Reuben Cornelius and Ira

I am looking for information on the STANSBERRY(sp?) lines in Arkansas and how they are
connected with the AYNES Line of Scott Co? James Stansberry came to live with his Gmother
on the 1900 census,in Scott Co. Blansett twp. Was married to Catherine ? and had a son Dewey
Stansbury (sp?) on the 1910 Scott Co. Blansett twp. I have found Stansberry lines owning land in
other counties of Arkansas. This family also may have lived in Missouri. If you have any

I'm interested in corresponding with anyone researching the MENDENHALL, LOE, WHITTEN,
surnames in Nevada County. My Thomas Mendenhall, born 1792, owned a lot of property just
across the Nevada County line, coming from Camden. This property is where the White Church
Cemetery is located and where most of the family was buried, including Thomas and his wife,
Mary. Some of the tombstones were broken and could not be read, but I copied every one that
was legible. My line from Thomas was his son, Andrew Jackson Mendenhall who married Elvira
Ledora SHULTZ. Her mother died and her father left her shortly before she married Andrew.
Their son was Harrison Orlanda Mendenhall, my grandfather, who married Lettie Irene LOE. My
father, Homer Orlando Mendenhall, was born in Prescott in 1914. I have been unable to locate
his family in the 1920 census. Lettie Loe's father was Rufus Lee Loe, son of Benjamin Lee Loe
and Virginia Whitten. The Whittens originally moved from Newton Co, GA to Columbia Co, AR
and then on to Nevada County. Any help, general comments, anything would be appreciated.
