COCKE, MATTHEWS, MCNEILL, RENFRO, SMITH posted by Danyelle McNeill Fletcher on Sunday, May 8, 2005

Did you grow up in Holly Grove? If so, I'd like to hear from you. I'm looking for stories, copies of newspaper clippings, and copies of photos about life in Holly Grove, AR. These stories can be from any time period. Stories relating to the history of the area, stories about peoples' high school experiences, local ballgames, weddings, birthday parties, community churches, community get-togethers, restaurants, stores, favorite hangouts, weather events, bridge parties...anything you can think of and want to share! I'd also love old photos and newspaper clippings of ballgames, town parades, Christmases and other holidays past, church plays & events, etc. My goal is to compile this information into some kind of book and, I want to compile these stories and memories the way they are given to me - I don't plan on editing them. I thought it would be much more historically interesting to have these memories in the "voice" of the person remembering it. Your name will be attached to whatever you contribute, unless otherwise requested. I've created a message board for posting stories and memories. I invite you to come and share your memories! And please let me know what you'd like to see added to the site!
