GARRETT, PICKETT posted by Ann Welton on Monday, January 14, 2002: Looking for information on Greenlee "Lee" GARRETT and Eliza PICKETT, who were married in Monroe County, Ark on 10 Aug. 1873. I believe they were my ggg-grandparents. They had the following children: 1. Charles b. @ 1874 Ark 2. Rosa L. b. @ 1877 Ark 3. Lillie b. 1880 Franklin Co. TX 4. Willie b. 1883 Franklin Co. TX 5. Grace b. 1885 Franklin Co. TX 6. Bud b. ? On the 1880 Franklin Co. TX census; Lee had two sisters living with him: 1. Ella b. @ 1869 Ark 2. CARTWRIGHT, EDWARDS posted by David Harris on Wednesday, January 16, 2002: Looking for any information on the EDWARDS or CARTWRIGHTS of Holly Grove, Arkansas. My great-grandmother was Cecilia EDWARDS. Her grandfather was Prince EDWARDS (b1820). He had a son, Floyd who eventually had three daughters, one of whom, was Cecilia who married Scyrus CARTWRIGHT. I have little if any information on Scyrus CARTWRIGHT'S father. His mother's name was Julia, but her surname is unknown. If anyone has any information that might be helpful please e-mail me. Thanks. Louis married Rose Alford STARR whose parents where Martha Elizabeth BOYSTER and Edd STARR. Martha's brothers names where John, Will.Charlie, and Enic(?) Any information would be appreciated. ANDREWS, SMITH posted by Betty Murray on Sunday, February 3, 2002: Am seeking information on my great grandfather, James Pleasant SMITH, born 7-7-1858 in Tennessee and married to Harriett Ota ANDREWS 7-21-1889 in St. Francis County, AR. He lived in Brinkley and worked as a blacksmith. He died 4-26-33 and is buried in Maple Grove Cemetery in Blytheville. It was very possible that he was married prior to Ota as she was much younger than he. If you can help, I would be much appreciative.

MOORE, RILEY posted by Rose Moreland on Thursday, February 14, 2002: Am looking for information on a Charles/Charlie/Charley MOORE who was married to Sarah Elizabeth RILEY in Monroe/Phillips County Arkansas around 1881. They had one child named Charlie. The elder MOORE was rumored to be a thief and left the area for safety in the early 1880's never to return. His wife died within a few years after and Charlie was raised by a family in the area and knew very little about either of his parents. It was also rumored that Mr. MOORE found sanctuary in Texas. Any info would be appreciated.
