I am seeking information on Perry Amos GILLESPIE. He was a Police Chief in Monroe Co. , Brinkley, Arkansas in the early 1900s. The surname GILLESPIE has also been spelled GLISPIE. Amos was born about 1867 in Indiana, but was in Arkansas with his family by 1880. This family consisted of his step-father James DEVAN, his mother Lucinda and 5 siblings. Amos' wife's name was Nell and we know of two children, John & Perry. I would appreciate any information on this family.

I am interested in information regarding a G.H. SCOTT who married Lucinda DEVAN in 1896 in Monroe Co. Arkansas. I only have the initials for his first name. G.H. SCOTT was 44 years old at the time of this marriage in 1896. It is apparent that this was at least a second marriage for him. The women May SCOTT b. 1877 and Stella SCOTT b. 1890 may be associated with this man. May SCOTT married a James H. ANDREWS also in 1896 in Monroe Co. I would appreciate any information.

I am looking for any info on CLEMONS name. It was thought that they lived mostly in Phillips Co., but since Monroe Co. is next door, it is possible that some moved over. In particular, I'm looking for info on Robert E. CLEMONS and Charlie C. CLEMONS and families. They were 2 of several brothers to my ggrandfather John D. CLEMONS. Any info will be helpful. Thanks, Dawn Dykes Petz
