DEVAN, FISHER, SCOTT posted by Ann Schultz on Friday, December 4, 1998: My grandparents Edward FISHER and Della DEVAN were married in Monroe Co. Brinkley, Arkansas in 1899. Della's father 's name was James DEVAN. I would be interested in hearing from any DEVANS who may still be in the area. I am also trying to find out information about a Lucindia SCOTT whose maiden name was DEVAN. Lucindia died in Brinkley in 1899.

Arch was born in 1872 - I believe in Benton Co., Arkansas. His mother Eliza lived with him in Clarendon, Monroe Co., Arkansas at the time of her death on 18 Oct 1928 so I am assuming that he lived and died in Clarendon, Monroe Co., Arkansas. Burl WOODS b. 1878 TN, married Lena/Leona DANIEL b. 1881 AR - children - Alice and James. Lena was murdered by her lover, after leaving her husband, circa 1907 and 1910 somewhere near Holly Grove and W. Helena, AR and found near the railroad tracks.

PLEDGER in 1866. They have 4 children - 3 of whom were born in Monroe Co. - Margaret Matilda PLEDGER b. 1867; an infant born and died 1870; and Leeander PLEDGER b. 1872. H. GRACEY was born approx. 1841 and died bef. 1877. This PLEDGER family moved to Shelby County, Alabama betwen 1872 and 1874. Any clues would be greatly appreciated.
