Where We Are
Miller County is in the southwestern-most corner of Arkansas. It borders the Texas counties of Bowie and Cass on the west, the Louisiana parishes of Caddo and Bossier in the south and it's Arkansas neighbors are Lafaytte in the east, Hempstead to the northeast and Little River in the north. The county seat is Texarkana in the northwest, which straddles the state line with Texas about 6 miles south of the Red River.Interestingly, Miller and Little River counties are separated from the rest of Arkansas by the Red, Little and Cossatot rivers.
