Linda Haas Davenport, 77, of Tulsa, OK passed away April 4, 2021. She was born May 24, 1943 in Tulsa, OK to Arthur and Norene Haas.
Linda was a lifelong scholar, and a student of life, who unapologetically pursued almost any endeavor or excursion that allowed her to immerse herself in her family and those she called friend. She spent most of her free time exploring her family tree, and all of its many offshoots, through the study of genealogy and was a published author, public speaker, and researcher. Her life was lived surrounded by family and the joy that comes with that affection.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband and best friend William and is survived by her two sons, Nick and Ken.
Graveside Services will be held 10AM, Friday, April 9, 2021 at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, Garden of Faith.
Personal Note from Betsy Mills: Linda was a good friend. We first met through her hosting Marion County for me in ARGenWeb. We met in person at a Civil War Reenactment and formed a lifetime friendship. She came to some of our TXGenWeb meetings and spoke to our group. We got together at the FGS Conferences in Boston and in Fort Wayne and we always had great times together, creating memories that will carry us through our sorrow.
Memories: meeting Linda and Willie for the first time; Linda's fingernails clicking on the keyboard at 5 AM (or earlier); Linda stuck on the elevator in Boston; dinner at Ken's restaurant in Fort Wayne. . .
