JOHN WESLEY UPTON was the son of JOHN WESLEY UPTON SR and GENTIE TUCKER, he was born Feb,1828 in Lawrence Co,AR, he was a farmer, a business man, a husband and a father, he opened the first General Store in Old Aurora, AR, he died Jan 29, 1899 in Lafayette, Washington Co, AR.

He married MARTHA BOWEN, daughter of WILLIAM B. BOWEN & LEVICA MCELANEY, MARTHA was born May 10,1830 in Lafayette, Washington Co, AR, she
married JOHN WESLEY UPTON 1847 in Dubque, AR, she died May 14, 1903, in
Lafayetteville, AR, she is buried in Baptist Ford Cemetery, AR, JOHN WESLEY is buried beside her.

JOHN WESLEY & MARTHA UPTON had 14 children, 3 died young and 2 died in
infancy, one of their surviving children was MAHALA CATHERINE UPTON,
born Jan 1851 in Madison Co, AR, MAHALA CATHERINE UPTON married JOHN N.
HARRIS, born Aug 1851, the son of JAMES JACKSON HARRIS & JULIE ANN
SAXTON, both born in 1817, JOHN N HARRIS died March 1, 1905, after his
death, MAHALA CATHERINE UPTON married a second time to R.E. RYLEE
a minister on Nov 19,1907, MAHALA died 1917/18.

The children of JOHN N HARRIS & MAHALA CATHERINE UPTON were;

MARTHA ANN HARRIS, born July 26, 1873, she married ABE COLEMAN, MARTHA
gave birth to 18 children, some died as infants, some died young children, but 12 lived to adulthood and had children of their own, they had 74 grandchildren in all, MARTHA ANN HARRIS died Feb 13,1950.

JAMES W HARRIS was born 1876, he married SUSAN VICKS, their children
were; JOHN, JAMES and others, JAMES W HARRIS  married a second time to
LAURA, he died after 1950 in Maud,OK.

ELIZABETH SARAH HARRIS was born Feb,1881, she married GEORGE WASHINGTON SISEMORE, born 1875, he was the son of GEORGE W SISEMORE SR born 1836 and NANCY GIBSON born 1837,  (GEORGE' Jr's grandparents were EPHRAIM SISEMORE & NAOMI RITCHIE, NAOMI was the daughter of ISOM RITCHIE & MARTHA PATSY PATRICK, MILES RITCHIE'S mother and father)

GEORGE & ELIZABETH had 10 children, they were GEORGE, FRED, SID, LLOYD, ERNEST, and LOLA, born Oct 22,1910 in AR, 4 children died in infancy, ELIZABETH
SARAH SISEMORE died Nov 16, 1916 and GEORGE W SISEMORE died 1949.

JOHN HENRY HARRIS was born Oct 30, 1883, he married MARTHA JANE RITCHIE
JUNE 2, 1901, MARTHA was born Oct 15, 1883 in Yale, AR, she was the daughter of MILES RITCHIE & VICY JANE ACORD, (MARTHA was the sister of JOHN WILLIAM RITCHIE, who married FLORENCE HARRIS, the daughter of ROBERT H HARRIS & DUCENA ELIZABETH UPTON,  ROBERT H HARRIS was the uncle of JOHN HENRY HARRIS).

JOHN HENRY & MARTHA JANE HARRIS had 11 children, their first born was stillborn, their children were:  GUY, IVAN, CLAUDIA, DALLAS, JOHNNIE FERN, RUBY, RUTH, GORDON, GLADYS, AUDREY.

JOHN HENRY HARRIS died in 1958 in Boise, Idaho, and MARTHA JEAN HARRIS
died in 1968 in Boise, Idaho, they are both buried next to each other at Morris Hill Cemetery in Boise, Idaho, their daughter Audrey Jean (Harris) Fahnstrom is buried next to them, and Guy, Ivan, Claudia, Dallas, are buried at Morris hill also, Ruby Harris is buried in Renton, WA, Ruth is buried in a cemetery in Arkansas, and Gordon's ashes were scattered in Washougal, WA.
