MILES RITCHIE was born 1849 in Perry County, Kentucky,
the son of ISOM RITCHIE and MARTHA PATRICK. He married VICY JANE ACORD born 1857
in Friley Creek, Arkansas in 1873 in Johnson Co, Arkansas. She
was the daughter of WILLIAM G ACORD and MARTHA
CASEY.
MILES RITCHE farmed on Mulberry Creek for many years.
Miles died Jan 9th, 1917 at the age of 68 years. He died of a massive
heart attack. After his death, MILES is buried in the Yale Cemetery in Johnson
Co, Arkansas, near his brother WALLACE RITCHIE and their father ISOM RITCHIE the
son of ALEXANDER CROCKET RITCHIE and SUSAN ELIZABETH (GRIGSBY) RITCHIE. Vicy
moved with her son Zed Ritchie and his family to
2. SARAH ANN RITCHIE was born April 9th,
1877, her first husband died, she returned to her mother and father and there
she met
HENRY WEATHERBY,, she married HENRY WEATHERBY, April 15th, 1906, she
taught him to read and write, he was an avid
reader of the Bible, he found the
plan of salvation in the Bible, but didn’t know about the Church of Christ
until he moved to
Meridian, Idaho, he heard Jack Free preaching on the radio,
Henry was the one that shared the Gospel with the whole Harris family
and many
others and bought them to Christ. Something that we are all grateful
for.
HENRY WEATHERBY and SARAH ANN (RITCHIE) WEATHERBY were
wonderful people, Henry was very intelligent, but back in
those days sons had to
work, not go to school. Henry and Sarah weatherby are buried in the
3. JOHN WILLIAM RITCHIE was born Feb 9th,
1879 in Arkansas, he married FLORENCE HARRIS the daughter of ROBERT H
HARRIS and
DUCENA ELIZABETH UPTON, FLORENCE was born April 18th, 1877, JOHN
WILLIAM RITCHIE died Jan 13th, 1959
in Arkansas, FLORENCE died May
30th, 1956, they are both buried in
Arkansas.
4. JAMES MONROE RITCHIE was born March 13th,
1881 in Arkansas, JAMES RITCHIE married NANCY ASHER, Nancy was a real
nice lady,
a good housekeeper and always had a big garden and JIM and NANCY lived on Thorn
Creek near Idaho City.JIM worked
at the sawmill at Thorn Creek and lived in a
sawmill shack, like everyone else did. JIM was a good looking man and quite a
singer,
he sung with the Stamps Quartet, they were very famous at one time, both
JIM and NANCY died in

5..MARTHA JEAN RITCHIE born Oct 15th, 1883,
in Yale, Arkansas, she died Dec, 1968 in Boise, Idaho, MARTHA married JOHN
HENRY
HARRIS on June 20th, 1901 in Pettigrew, Arkansas, John was born Oct
30th, 1883 in Madison Co, Arkansas, the son of
JOHN N HARRIS born
1851 and MAHALA UPTON, 1855 and he died 1958 in Boise, Idaho, they are both
buried in Morris Hill
Cemetery in Boise, Idaho.they had 11
children.
6. WALLACE RITCHIE was born Dec 22nd, 1885 in
7.. MITTY RITCHIE born Nov 15th, 1887, she
died an infant, 2 or 3 years old.
8. CHARLES EDWARD RITCHIE born Oct 10th,
1893, he died an infant, a baby.
9. ZED PORTER RITCHIE was born Sept 4th,
1896, he died Oct 10th, 1980 in
WILLIAM HENRY HARRISON DAY and SARAH
CATHERINE McCARTHY, They had a home in Kuna,
vegetables and made
a lot of family quilts.
