Ruby Jewell Harris, 72, a Rainier Valley resident for several years, died January 26, at Highline Hospital following a long illness. Funeral services were held at Columbia Funeral home, January 28 with the Rev Charles Webb officating. Graveside services were held at the Hillcreast Cemetery in Kent.

Mrs Harris was a nursing home resident for the past two years. Survivors include: two children, Oleta Fryrear of Rainier Valley and Virgie Shipp of Pryor, Oklahoma, four brothers Guy, Ivan, Dallas, all of Boise, Idaho and Gordon of Yuma, Arizona, three sisters, Johnnie Fern Burton, Gladys Kafvelstrom and Jean Fahnstrom, all of Boise, Idaho and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
