John Henry Harris, 74, a resident of Boise for less than three weeks, died Friday at the home of his daughter, Mrs Claudia Belcher, Boise, route 5.
Mr Henry Harris was born in Madison County, Arkansas on October 30, 1883, he was the son of John N Harris & Mahala (Upton) Harris, he lived at Oark Arkansas all his life with the exception of four years spent in Kuna, Idaho. He had come to Boise August 31, to make his home with his children.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church and Mulberry Lodge 272 AF & Am, in Oark. Mr Harris had been a lumberman and farmer by occupation.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs Martha J Harris, five sons, Guy, Ivan, Dallas, and Gordon Harris, all of Boise and eight daughters, Mrs Belcher, Mrs Ruby Paul, Mrs Fern Forgerson, Mrs Gladys Schultz and Mrs Jean Fahnstrom, all of Boise and the Misses Velma, Dorothy and Joyce Harris, all of Oark, daughters by his second marriage to Pearlie, 27 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 3:30 pm, Monday at the Summers chapel, John York will officiate. Interment will be at Morris Hil, Boise, Idaho.
