Lincoln County was created in 1871 so, before 1880, most of Lincoln is included in the census records for Arkansas County but parts might be found in Bradley, Desha, Drew or Jefferson counties. | |
The 1880 census is the first census for Lincoln County and the first to include relationships. It contained columns for name, color, sex, age, marriage status, occupation, health, education and nativity. There were also columns for the month of birth for children under 12 months and month of marriage for those married under 12 months. In addition it had columns for addresses "In Cities", which were seldom used. Header for 1880 (Image).

The 1920 census was enumerated in January and many families were missed, likely due to weather. It offers very little in the way of extra information except for addresses and the language spoken in the home.
