COX
Karleen Cox April 5, 2005
Hi, I am in desparate need of some help. I have a great great grandfather who lived in Lee County Arkansas in 1870-1927 (Francis "Frank" M. COX and Magret (Maggie) Rose COX). I know they are buried in Hopewell Cemetery but I have a feeling his mother Georgiana? LEWIS) is buried there as well. They also had 6 children die, I imagine they are buried there as well, is there any way I can find this out? I am stuck in my genealogy. It is as if the family dropped off the face of the earth. I know Georgianna had 2 daughters, Laura LEWIS who married Richard Dick BLOUNT (and had 4 children with, but I cannot find any of the kids) I do know one of Laura's daughters Georgia V. was a teacher. And Georgianna had Susan LEWIS who married Lon RODGERS and then a TILLERY, there was also a son Fielding Warner LEWIS, but like I said they all have seemed to disappear in Lee County Arkansas, if you have any ideas please let me know. Thank you so much.

WGentry June 17, 2005
I would like to do a transcription of the Shepherd Grove Cemetery in Brickeys, Arkansas. My Great Grandmother and Great-Great Grandmother are supposed to be buried there. I have communicated with people in the area, but am having trouble finding someone who can lead me to the cemetery. Any help with directions would be greatly appreciated, and the transcriptions would be an added benefit, because more of my relatives may be buried there.

I am looking for one of my great grandfathers marker in Lagrange Cemetery or somewhere close by. He lived in Lagrange and died in Memphis, TN in Sept 25, 1842. GOVAN
Frank Burke December 16, 2005
Eaton Pugh GOVAN died Feb 15, 1881 on his plantation in Lee County. According to an article in the Tri County genealogy magazine, his widow owned land in 1890 in SW Lee co,adjoining land owned by his brother Gen. D C GOVAN. Do you have any information on a family cemetery in that area? Any suggestions on how to find out where he and his first wife, Julia Hawks GOVAN died 1878 are buried?
