BROWN - Searching for family members of Edgar Lewis and Tenar BROWN . Their son, William Henry BROWN , was born in Jefferson County on September 17, 1869. His twin brother was Frank BROWN . A sister was Josie BROWN (Baker) and another brother was Eli Brown . Tenar was a Cherokee who returned to Texas. Edgar moved to Sebastian County and possibly Monroe County. He may have been from Galveston, Texas. William Henry lived in Perry County, then Conway County. Frank moved to Alma, Arkansas. Some family members say Edgar Lewis became a minister. He died in Arkadelphia, AR in about 1910. No one knows who or where the other family members moved to or if they had children. He had a brother--Clyde who worked for the railroad and was married to Lucinda, a nurse. My grandmother was Frances (Fannie) Beda Jones who was from Kingsland, Cleveland County and she lived at various times in Pine Bluff in the l920s with her daughter Ida Jones Norvill who married a Mack Norvill who worked on the railroad and Rose Jones Sharp . MITCHELL, - James C. Mitchell , George A. Mitchell , Effie Mitchell , Dolly Mitchell , and William Mitchell were all grandchildren of W.R. Mitchell . His son was their father; however, no one seems to know that son's name. W.R. Mitchell also had a daughter named Nancy Sweeden Garrett, and one named Sally. These daughters lived in Monroe County in 1880 because they all appear on the 1880 census with W.R. Mitchell living with them. ROBERTS - Looking for information on a Roberts family that lived in or near Humphery, AR. The wife was my aunt Myrtle Howell, b. abt 1890. BRONTE, GRACEY, FORD, - I'm looking for information on my great-aunt. Her name was Lillian Bronte , from Carroll County, Mississippi. She apparently was married to a Mr. Gracey and they lived in Whitehall, in the Pine Bluff, Jefferson Co., area, in around 1905-1912. They divorced and she went to Houston, Texas, sometime before 1920, where she married a man named Arthur Ford . She was called a "social worker" by her adopted daughter, Clara. ADAMS, ADDAMS - I am seeking any / all information on the family of Harvey / Harry Constantine Adams , who wed Augusta Addams and lived near Pine Bluff early 1900s. Augusta came from a wealthy slave-holding family near Monroe, LA. Harvey worked in the logging industry. They had a daughter, Rose, born 11 / 1913 and a son, Alexander born 12 /1 914 who were taken from the home by the Red Cross circa 1921-22 and placed in the Bottom's orphanage / children's / detention home. The children were later taken to Dr. Christen's Home (located close to Children's Hospital) in Little Rock. Harvey / Harry and Gussie also had sons, Alexander (which I mention above) and Wesley. TREADWAY - My great-grandfather, Oscar Edward Treadway was killed in a hunting accident in late 1900 or early 1901. We think this occured in the Pine Bluff, Arkansas area and we think he is buried near there. His son Oscar Jennings Treadway was born about two months after his death. EVANS - Looking for info. on the JULIUS EVANS family who lived near Watson Chappell from about 1910 till 1932. Children were CATHERINE, JOE, JOSIE, J.S., FANNIE JANE. ENGLISH, INGLISH - I am looking for information regarding Noah D. ENGLISH . He was born abt. 1821 in Alabama to James and Nancy ENGLISH . He moved to Arkansas and married Ann Eliza COX in Saline Co. in 1839. He had moved to Jefferson Co. by the 1850 census. His brother, Alfred M. INGLISH , was living two doors down. Noah became a probate judge and lived in that county until about 1870, when he moved to Pulaski Co., where he died the next year. His wife, daughter of James and Mary COX is buried in Mt.
