Query: I am looking for a Henry Anderson B-1855 Tennessee I believe he died in Izard County, Arkansas. He is listed on the 1900 census living there with his wife Emmie ( Emeline Nash), and three children Harrison, Harry, Maud. I think once he died, Emma took the children back to Missouri where her family was. Henry and Emma had one more child named Helen 1902. By 1910 Emma remarried a John Nash, they are listed on the 1910 Washington county, census, with Harrison Anderson, Harry Anderson, Maud Anderson. Emma and John also had two children Lulu Nash and John Nash. Lulu is listed as 5, so I think both Helen and Henry died before 1905. Anyone with any info on any of these please contact me!

CHURCHILL, COPELAND
Name: Barbara Jean Copeland Aldridge, aldridge73s@sprintmail.com
3000 Magnolia Lane
Bedford, TX 76021
Query: CHURCHILL-Looking for info on when and by what route the Churchills came to Izard
county. In the 1850 census, there are only two CHURCHILL families: one (Richwoods twp)is
the family of Joseph D, 53, and Lucretia, 47, with children John S., 21, James J., 20,
Levina, 17, Jane 14, Lucy, 12, Wiliam 10, Dempsey W., 8, Joseph A, 4. The children were
born in AR; Joseph was born in New Jersey and Lucretia in VA. Joseph and Lucretia's eldest
son, John, appears in the 1860 with his wife Susan J. (b. in IL) and children George and
Charity (both 6), Sarah E, 4, and Louiza, 1 in Union twp, Benbrook Mills. This family was
not found in the 1870 census. Since John S. Churchill was born in AR in about 1829, this
would indicate that Joseph Churchill came from NJ prior to 1829. Louiza (or Luiza)
Churchill, John and Susan's youngest, married Marcus Dee Lafayette COPELAND about 1873-77.
Would appreciate hearing from anyone with CHURCHILL info that may relate to my kin.

Query: Am looking for information on my Great-Grandfather James Barthelmew Hunter
who was born in Izard County about 1859 married to a Mary Jane White of Fulton County. I
also know nothing of James Barthelmew's family or Mary Jane White's family history. James

Clevland, Lela Mae, Marvin, Myrtle, Fred, and "Albert Lee"(born Oct 27, 1884)
who was the father of my father Woodrow Kenneth & his sisters Veo Mae & Bera
Marie. I know nothing of my great-grandfather's lineage or his family. My Aunt Bera who
now resides in Georgia said that James Barthelmew's family originated from Scotland. She
has no family pictures, as they were all lost in a trunk that her father Albert Lee had
and was lost upon his death and were retained by his second wife. Any assistance you can

when married, etc. The only record we have of him is the 1870 census and family
recollections. Those recollections say that Franklin ran a ferry up and down the White

Am searching for any information about Frethias W. LLOYD/LOYD, his wife Mary NEAL LLOYD,
and son William T. LLOYD/LOYD. They settled in Izard County c. 1861 and were farmers,
probably at Rocky Bayou township. Family history is that William was killed by
jayhawkers/bushwhackers during the Civil War. Another story is that he died of war wounds
after lenghty nursing by his wife. Neither he nor wife Martha Ann (Annie) alive at time of
1870 census. F.W. died between 1870 and 1880. Any information about dates of death of all,
and the circumstances surrounding William's/Annie's deaths, would be appreciated.

Pine Grove, CA 95665
We are seeking any information on the mystery man of my family, my paternal Grandfather,
Calvin Frank WEBBER, born 21 March, 1844 in WASHINGTON, Arkansas. We don't know which of
the Washingtons in Arkansas that is; the County of that name, one of the two Towns or of
the thirteen Townships in the state. Then there are parent counties. At any rate I do know
from the family bible that his mother's given name was Nancy and that on the 16th of
August, 1876 he married Matilda Frances (Fannie) OWENS in Mena, Polk County, Arkansas. She
was born 9 Feb, 1859 in Mena delivered most of the nine children she bore to Frank in Hot
Springs, Garland County, Arkansas, died 9 Apr, 1912 back in Mena and was buried in the
same Owens Chapel Cemetery outside Mena, where Frank was buried after his death 16 Aug,
1900. We know a good deal about most of their descendants, but nothing more of Grand-dad.
If you could enlighten us on any point concerning this mystery man, the entire WEBBER
family will be eternally grateful, and I thank you.

Recently I had access to the Izard County Cemetery Records. I found many Jennings, but not
ROBERT LEE JENNINGS. A relative told me they found his grave, near a church of unknown
denomination, across the hwy (or they turned across from Zion) from the community of Zion.
(I have never been to the area, so am ignorant of which I speak.) Is there an old Zion
Cemetery? I am thinking perhaps it was an older publication, not your new updated one,
that I had access to. Do you have any cemetery records for a Robert Jennings? I do not
have dates for him, but I know his son, (my g-grandfather) William Philetus Jennings was
born 1877, supposedly at Zion. Robert Lee Jennings and his wife Eliza Roeanna Gray
Jennings died relatively young. Some of their children lived with an "Uncle
Dick" Jennings. I have no verification that the family was still in Izard County at
this time. Thank you for any information. Please let me know of any fees involved. I am
planning to visit the area this summer, and wish to visit their graves if at all possible.
Thank you. 4/15/98

She married John Lee Carpenter, the son of Lawson and Sarah Carpenter from the Sage, Ar area, where they are buried in the Finley Creek Cemetery. John and Lou moved to Texas just after 1900 and lived there the remainder of their life. In the obit for Lou it named a sister JoAnna Billins. I have found Jo Anna Billins who was married to Elisha O Billins. They had 6 children that I know of James Pleasant, Melvina, Minnie, J M, Lydia and Ollie Vesta. Melvina married Lincoln John Moser. They had several children. One daughter Betty Jo was mentioned in two obits, once as Evans and once as Bray. Another Julia married a Rush. Lydia married a Rider. I am most anxious to hear from anyone in this family or who has information on this family with the hope of finding something on JoAnna's parents, Davis. Lincoln Moser's mother was a Reeves and some of them are buried in Reeves Cemetery.
Thanks!

Email = sherrylink@semo.net
Surnames = Hughey
Query = Am searching for a physician by the name of Dr. M. (Moses) Hughey b. 8 Oct 1878 & died 28 May 1922. I have successfully found him in the 1910 census records of Rector, Oak Bluff Twp., Clay Co., AR. then in 1920 he was living in Marianne, Independence Twp., Lee Co., AR. Unfortunately, I have no information where he might be buried - am hoping his obituary, if found, might reveal that information. He came from the pioneering family of Robert F. & Emily J. (Cline) Hughey of Wayne Co., MO. I suspect he may have been returned to his homeland. His wife was named either Carrie or Mary (census records were difficult to read) [married about Oct 1909] & I noticed they had no children at the time. However, if he indeed died in 1922, his surviving siblings would have been: Everett W., Oscar A., John F., Benjamin, & possibly Otha L., & a sister Effie G. [have no record of the latter 2 siblings death dates]. He was preceded in death by his father Robert F. (1888) & mother Emily J. (1897), a sisters Zilpha (1897). Cora B (1927) & brothers Clinton O. (1908) & Robert I. Hughey 1925 (these names might be mentioned in the obit). As you can see, he came from a large family of 11 children! Oral history has that he died of Bright's disease. If my calculations are correct he died at about age 43. I believe was undoubtedly a physician 20+ years.
