Stringfellow (complete) Below you will find the Will of Robert E. Stringfellow (1815/1818 to 1882) He is my 3rd great grandfather (Patsy Finley Vinson) and the great grandfather of Kenneth Shipp. Estelle Shipp and I made a trip to Hope on March 11, 2004 and picked up the will. We also found a concrete marker with Stringfellow written on it at the Water Creek Community Cemetery. I would appreciate you listing it on your Hempstead Co. page. Robert E. Stringfellow Will Book C Pages 336 & 337 State of Arkansas County of Hempstead In the name of God, Amen! I Robert E. Stringfellow of the County and State aforesaid and by occupation a farmer in reasonable good health and in my right mind on this 20th day of May 1882, make this my last will and I give, devise and bequeath my Estate and property real and personal as follows: 1st My funeral expernses and all my just debts is to be paid. 2nd I will and bequeath to all my lawful heirs one dollar to be paid on demand after my decease. 3rd I will and bequeath to my wife, Earthly (Ursley) C. Stringfellow as follows: one black mare 10 years old with her increase, also eight head of stock cattle consisting milk cows and calves with their increase, also seven head of hogs with their increase, also all of the household and kitchen furniture consisting of beds, and bedding, quilts, blankets and sheets, I also will and bequeath to my wife Earthly (Ursley) C. Stringfellow my farm on which I now live, consisting of 102 acres to her and her heirs known and described by the deeds that I now hold. Stringfellow, being duly sworn deposes and says that the above and foregoing instrument of writing here therein to him is the last Will and Testament of Robert E. Stringfellow, deceased that he was present on the 20th day of May A.D. 1882, and saw him sign and seal the same and heard him publish and declare the same to be his last will and testament that he subscribed the same at his request as a subscribing witness there to that the said Robert E. Stringfellow was at the time of signing the last will and testament of sound and deposing mine and memory and in possession of all his mental faculties and over the age of twenty one years. C. W.
