I am seeking information on the family name of "LICK". Ancestors with this name I've
taken back to mid 1800's in Hempstead Co. and I believe Hot Springs Co., AR. Anyone have LICK
ancestors? Was this name originally German (Lich, Lichter)?

MATTESON-PRESLEY: My great-grandmother, Minerva PRESLEY, married Almond H. Presley
in Hempstead Co, AR in 1852. Minerva's family was in Texas in 1850, and it is said that the
MATTESON family were enroute to their former home in Ohio when Minerva's father, Lester
Matteson died. Minerva & Almond were in Missouri by 1860. Have not found Lester's place
of death; not sure if he died while in AR or in MO. If death info on Hempstead Co. between 1850
& 1860, would appreciate anything on Matteson. Also, anything that would connect Almond
Presley with others of his family.
