Am trying to locate descendants of Robert Crisop CLICK, who was born sometime around 1850 and lived in the Shiloh/Mineral Springs area. He was married to a GRAVES and had children named Bill, Tom, Sally, Molly, Maggie, Rosa and David. David was my grandfather, who died two months before my mother was born in 1908. I know that Sally and Molly both married O'DELLs and that Maggie married Sam NUTT. My great-aunt Rosa I knew, but all of her family is gone. Am hoping to make contact with some of the other descendants since I have NO relatives any closer than third or fourth cousins living on my mother's side. Please help. Thanks for any information.

DIXON, ZACHARY I am looking for descendants of Henry Dixon and wife Nancy HUBBARD who moved to Hempstead Co in the mid 1820's. They had at least 7 children by the names of : Miller Hubbard, Henry Harrison, Hannah Ann, Robert Wallace, William Augustus, Winfield Scott, and Harriet Martha, and possibly Stewart A. Dixon. Miller Hubbard resided in Hempstead Co and owned a small store in Sevier Co,. He and his wife came to Texas, Fannin Co, in 1839. Miller Hubbard's wife was Nancy Zachary who was born in Mo, and her parents were from Caswell Co, NC. I am looking for any information available concerning the Dixons and Zachary's. Nancy Zacharys siblings include : John Batey, Izariah, Alexander, Bartlett Jr., Judith, and Elizabeth. Sister's Judith and Elizabeth also married in Hempstead Co. after sister Nancy married in 1833. Any help is appreciated on these two lines. Also, oral family history reports that Miller H. and Nancy had a son possibly names Sean or Shawn who defected to the North. He was probably born in Hempstead Co, between 1834 and 1838.

Am researching AINSWORTH family who migrated to Arkansas from Mississippi in early to mid 1800's. Several brothers came with their families, and settled in Calhoun, Columbia, Hempstead, and Union Counties. David Ainsworth (b. 1785 in South Carolina) was my gggrandfather. He arrived in Union County ca. 1857. His brothers were Levin, Richard, Samuel, Isaac, & James. All settled in south Arkansas. David Ainsworth had twin sons Alfred and Elbert, who served in the 24th Arkansas Infantry, CSA. Elbert was captured at Arkansas Post, 11Jan1863, and died at Camp Douglas, IL. Alfred Ainsworth was my great grandfather. Alfred's son, John David Ainsworth, was my grandfather. His daughter, Nettie Mae (Ainsworth) JOHNSON, was my mother. Any information at all on these families, especially David Ainsworth and his brothers, would be much appreciated. I have a lot of information, but need more -- happy to exchange.

Looking for information on the missing Elisha Ward BIBLE that was seen last in the possession of Nacy Evans WARD (b. Nov 1863) of Prescott, AR, in 1940. Although Mr. WARD is an ancestor of mine, contact with him and his family was lost after about 1940. Nacy Evans Ward was married to Kate DILLON in Nevada Co on 26th June 1895. He had two daughters-- Nannie Ward (b. Oct 23, 1898) who married Leonard SMITH on Sept 6, 1919 and Mary Ward b. Aug 7, 1901. Nacy Evans Ward lived on W. Elm Street in Prescott in 1920 according to US census. I do not find Nacy Evans Ward on any Nevada Co cemetery record, indicating he might have moved to other parts of AR to live with a relative prior to his death. I've had no response from Nevada Co postings to date. Any help from other researchers in AR would be appreciated, as I feel there is much valuable info in the lost Bible, whose origins go back to 1829 (copyright date). Thank you! Mark Ward

I had a great Aunt and third cousin who were killed in a tornado in the early 20's near Hope and Arkadelphia. I am wanting a newspaper record or death certificate for them, but I am unsure how to get it. What newspaper would have been operational in 1921 that would have listed the casualties of a tornado in Hempstead Co.? The exact date of the tornado that I believe they died in is April 15, 1921. My great Aunt's name was Arbel DUKE. I am unsure of her son's name(3rd cousin), but her husband's name was Dewey Duke. He did not die in the tornado. I am unsure of the spelling of their first names. Thanks for any help or advice.

James WOOD married Mary Ann TURNER in Cass County, GA and were living there in 1850. In 1849, they moved to Texas, possibly Smith County, and then on to Hempstead County, AR in 1851. James belonged to the Masonic Order, the Methodist Episcopal South Church, and the K of H (what is this organization?). In 1860, the family lived in Hempstead Co, where it appears they spent their lives. At this time they are shown at Marlbrook. I have been unable to locate them at all in 1870. Can anyone help here? In 1880 and 1900 they were in Wallaceburg. In 1860, James' mother, Anna, was living with them, plus two small children, named Wood, but not James' children. Anna died in 1865. In 1880 Mary, 70, was living with them. I believe Mary Wood was James' sister. Need more info on her. Mary Ann died in 1895. In 1900, James was living alone. James, Mary, and Anna were all buried at the Wood Family Cemetery in Wallaceburg, deep in a wooded area now. A J A Wood was listed as a member of Lodge #13, Paraclifta, Norwoodsville, Sevier County, AR on 14 April 1894. Could this be my James? Children included Oliver M Wood, William W Wood, Charles Wood, Robert E Wood, and Virgil Wood. Dr Virgil WOOD, has not been located since 1880. He was also a Mason. When did he die, and where was he buried? He supposedly spent his career lifetime around Wallaceburg. Virgil had twin girls named Okla and Homa. Any help appreciated.
