There were Afro-Americans who were named PATE living in
Ozone, Arkansas in the late 1800s and the early 1900s. I am looking for their descendants. I am
one of the g- granddaughters of this family.

dies on Sept 5, 1826 in Conway Co., AR." Can anyone give me the text of that

I will share information on Samuel PRESTRIDGE and Saphronia
NEAL who married 26Aug 1854 in Hempstead Co., AR. Their children
are Henry Haygood b 1855 married Elizabeth Hinton WELCH; Nina
(Minnie) b 1857 married Charles Silas HOLLOWELL; Paul b 1858;
and William S., Sep.1860, married 1st Susie____, the Britney E.
HALL. Samuel died 1860 in Sevier Co., AR and Saphronia married Henry H.
