I am inquiring on a deceased relative, my great grandfather and I was hoping to find some information on him. I would like to know if my deceased relative is buried in Hempstead County, Arkansas and if so, the location of his burial site and the date of death. I do not have a whole lot of information on him. Here is what I do know. His name was, John William SHARPE, born about 1884 in Lacey, Arkansas. His wife's name was, Irene Rozette KELLY (Sharpe). John W. Sharpe possibly died in the late 1920's and/or early 1930's. He had two daughters with Irene Sharpe. Rena Mae Sharpe, born 1914 in Hempstead County, Arkansas. Alsachia Lorraine Sharpe, born 1916 in Arkansas. John had a son named, Warren Sharpe. John William Sharpe was a carpenter by trade out of Little Rock, Arkansas and also in the masonry business laying brick. I am sorry that I don't have any more information. I hope this helps. I am looking forward to your response. Thank you. Sincerely, Traci Calvert

He was John Harrison Thompson born in 1861. Shortly after his birth the family moved to Hempstead Co., Arkansas. There other children born were, George, Benjamin and Jacob. John HARRISON later married Sarah McCASLIN in 1881 in Crawford Co., AR. Any information you may have on this family would be appreciated. Thanks, Sherry Spencer

Charlie R. GRISHAM was born in the small community of Springhill just south of Hope. I think that is Hempstead County, not sure though. I have been told that the education act was passed in 1860, and local school boards would have kept records of children attending school. I am looking for my g-grandfather, Charlie R. Grisham, born August 1880. Is there any validity to this and can someone look him up, is there any information that would tell who his parents are? I am have a hard time connecting him to his parents, only family stories. If you can find anything, I would appreciate it. Kathy

KING, R. N. (or R. H.) listed on the 1840 census and 1841 Ar. tax list as living in Ozan, Hempstead Co. Ar. Would any one have any information on this person or the children or any descendants. I believe it is a possible widowed female with children and could have remarried before 1850 but have found no record of it. Any help, or suggestions where I might look to find out who this person was?? My kin was Richard and Nancy King in Ozan who also vanish after 1859 land record. John P. King
