I have a marriage license for William DELOACH and Martha J ALLEN, who were married in
Hempstead Co in 1882. According to the license, William was 22 years old and Martha was 16 at
the time. Martha's father was named Charles. I checked the 1880 census for Hempstead Co.,
looking for either or both parties. I did not find William DeLoach in the census. I did find an
Allen family with a head of household named Charles with a wife and several children. One child
was Martha but her age was indicated as 12. I am looking for a girl who would have been 14 in
1880 (if the date on her marriage license is correct). I think there is a good possibility that this
Martha Allen is the one who married William DeLoach in 1882. Her age on the 1880 census
could be wrong. Can someone check the 1870 census for Hempstead Co., for this Allen family
and see if there is a Martha listed and what her age is on that census. In 1880, the family was in
Garland, ED 107. The entry in that census is on page 26. I am researching the DeLoach family
and am willing to share information. Thank you for any assistance. Robert E Paty, Arizona --

BRADLEY, HAWKINS, RATTIKIN, ROSS, HUNT Am researching these surnames in
Hempstead and Pike Counties 1830 to 1920. Wm F Bradley (1832 Ala - 1917 McCaskill, Hemp
Co) married Delilah B Ross (1837 Ar - 1913 McCaskill) 1858 Hemp Co. They are both buried at
Avery's Chapel in McCaskill). I believe she is the d/o Isaac White Ross (1817 Ala prob - 1894
Pike Co, Ar) and Deline HAWKINS (1817 NC? - Pike Co maybe) who mar c 1836 Ala. I do not
know the parents of Wm F. Could the "F" be "Founting"? Wm F's and Delilah's dau, Delilah Ann
"Annie", was my grmother. She mar John Wesley Rattikin in Pike Co (I think) 1890, and moved
to Tx c1892. I can find no mar license or proof of their marriage. I will be glad to exchange info
on any of these surnames, and would appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks, Ann
