William E. Boyd William Ernest Boyd, age 72, passed away Sunday, April 20, 1980 at Flint Osteopathic Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Zelley Funeral Home, with Rev. James D. Lougheed officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Boyd was born in Finch, Arkansas, March 8, 1908. He worked for the Missouri Pacific Railroad until 1954 when he came to Flint where he was employed by Fisher Body Turnsted Division, retiring in 1974 after 20 years. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Joyce (Jeff) Dunavin of Crown Point, IN., Mrs. Lois (Jim) Bugg of Davison, Mrs. Edna Louise Nelson of Flint, stepson Edward (Phyllis) Wilkinson of Delaplain, AR., brother, Tom (Margaret) Boyd of Yucca Valley, CA., two sisters, Mrs. Rayanna Schmuecker of Bethal, CT., Mrs. Sunshine Duba of Arlington VA., and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death in 1971 by his wife Lucille. contributed by: Wm.Dunavin The Flint Journal, Flint Michigan/April 21, 1980 Mrs. Effie Bauer Owens Mrs. Effie Bauer Owens, 79, Paragould, died Tuesday December 9, 1980, in the Home for the Golden Years at Paragould. Born July 18, 1901, she was a member of Morning Star Evangelical Methodist Church. Surviving are four sons, James Yarbrough and John Bauer, both of Paragould, Luther Yarbrough of Batesville, and R. C. Yarbrough of Wilson, one sister, Mrs. Jessie Lovins, Arizona, three brothers, Earl Randall, Indianapolis, Ind., Robert Randall, Holmes, Fla., and Ira Randall, Lunsford, nine grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. in Heath Colonial Chapel with Reverends John Bauer and Cleve Yarbrough officiating. Burial will be in Center Hill Cemetery under the direction of Heath Funeral Home of Paragould. She will lie in state at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. this afternoon until time for services.
