Martha Luidie (Elkins) Morgan Mrs Morgan had been in
a failing health for a number of months and about two weeks ago was conveyed to the
hospital where she underwent an operation. Until
a few days ago, it was thought she would recover, but pneumonia developed. Mrs Morgan is survived
by her husband, one daughter, Mrs Ed Brummett of route two; four sons, Ernest Morgan of
Osowatomie, Kansas, Jessie Morgan of Marmaduke and Robert and Burrell Morgan of this city:
two sisters, Mrs Bette Nesbitt and Miss Millie Elkins, two brothers, Robert Elkins of this
county and John Elkins of Charleston, Mo. The funeral services
will be conducted Saturday morning from the home of Mr and Mrs Burrell Morgan, R.T. (Richard) Thomason Paragould Soliphone Monday, December 15, 1924 Aged Finch Citizen Victim of Paralysis R.T. Thomason, aged 69, of the Finch vicinity died Saturday, December 13,1924 at 11:30 p.m. following a stroke of paralysis. Mr. Thomason, born July 10, 1855 was a native of Tennessee, and had been a resident of the Finch neighborhood during the past 50 years. He was one of the foremost farmers of that section and a community leader. Mr. Thomason is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary C. Robinson Thomason: three daughters, Miss Nora Thomason, Mrs. Lee W. Stone and Mrs. W.A. Pace; one son, John R. Thomason of St. Louis, three sisters, Mrs. Patsy Newsom, Mrs. Victoria McMillan and Mrs. Nanny Robinson and a step-daughter Mrs. W.W. Newsom. The funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. Joe A. Thompson officiating. Interment took place in Clark's chapel cemetery. |
