Father Dawson of Beech Grove

Father Dawson passed away Wednesday, December 24. Mr. Dawson lived to a ripe old age. He said several times before he died that he was just waiting to go home. He was much help in church work, and we were always glad to hear him talk in public.

He leaves a wife and four children to mourn his departure. His remains were laid to rest in the Friar graveyard in the presence of a large crowd of friends and neighbors. We would way to the bereaved ones, to live faithful to the end, and you will surely meet your husband and father in the bright beyond.

There was no mention of the given name for Mr. Dawson or his survivors. It is possible he was the George W. Dawson age 72, Union Township of the 1900 Federal Census, wife Mary.
