Mary Onis Schmuecker
Born in Craighead County, she was a retired factory worker with Emerson Electric. She was of the Pentecostal faith. Survivors include her husband, Bud Schmuecker of Paragould; three daughters, Wyonia
Pillow of Jonesboro, Tresea Dement and Henrietta Childress, both of Paragould; one
brother, Marion Hendrix of Marmaduke; one sister, Ann Keirsey of Hollister, Mo.; three
grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Woods Chapel Cemetery with the
Rev. Bill Snow and John Marconi officiating. Heath Funeral Home of Paragould is in charge

Beatrice French Martin
Born in Delaplaine, she worked at the draft board and an armament plant during World War II and worked in retail for many years. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and First Baptist Church in Mayflower. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway
with the Rev. Ken Reece officiating. Burial will follow in Mayflower Cemetery.
Wayland Stanley Wheeler
Born in Greene County, he served in the Navy during World War II, had worked as a carpenter and was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Eunice Faye Midgett Wheeler of Pocahontas; two daughters, Pat Carter and Freda Richardson, both of Pocahontas; three brothers, Carson Wheeler of Cokia, Ill., John Wheeler of Paragould and Coleman Wheeler of Highland; four grandchildren, Shannon Barr and Shawn Carter, both of Pocahontas, Jermey Richardson of Ruston, La., and Josh Richardson of Korea; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Florence Stevens Wheeler; a son;
two brothers; and a sister. Active pallbearers will be Larry Carter, Jerry Richardson, Shawn Carter, Rick Barr,
Rick Wheeler and Ricky Wheeler. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Robert Joseph Greenwell
Born in Pulaski County, Mo., he was an electrician, a rescue diver and a locksmith. The body was cremated. Burial was in Brown's Chapel Cemetery in Paragould. Fairchild Funeral Home in Tallahassee and Heath Funeral Home of Paragould were in charge of arrangements.
Ralph Timothy Agee
A Paragould High School graduate, he was the owner and operator of a Little Debbie distributorship for six years. He had previously been employed at Big Star as a manager for 25 years. He was a member of Center Hill Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Donna Johnson Agee of the home; one son, Josh
Agee of Paragould; one daughter, Brandy Agee of Hoxie; his mother, Patricia C. Agee of
Paragould; one brother, Chad Agee of Mounds; and two granddaughters. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Center Hill Church of
Christ, with Art Smith and Michael Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery
at Paragould under the direction of Bryan Funeral Home of Hoxie. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Monday at Center Hill Church of Christ.

J.L. Howe
He was born in Stonewall and was retired from the Buick Motor Division of General
Motors. A Baptist, he was a Mason and Shriner. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Providence Baptist Church, with Charles Abanathy officiating. Simon Morgan
Survivors include a brother, Burnin Morgan of Hardy, and two sisters, Della Russell of

Alexander community in Greene County, with Phillip Bynum officiating. Mitchell Funeral

Ova Jean Eubanks
Born at Light, she was a homemaker and a member of Newton Street Church of Christ. Survivors include his husband, Lowell Eubanks of Paragould; two daughters, Cathy Howard
and Judy Eubanks, both of Paragould; two brothers, John Davis and Avon Davis, both of
Paragould; and two sisters, Betty Holt of Harrison and Emma Nell Hudson of Dalton, Ga. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. until time of service today at the funeral home.
Henry Cleveland Walker
Survivors include his wife, Lois Walker of Marmaduke; three sons, Berlyn Walker and
Wayne Walker, both of Beloit, and Gary Walker of Burkburnett, Texas; three daughters,
Brenda Scorfina and Barbara Dwyer, both of Paragould, and Tamra Wells of Beloit; a

Born at Marmaduke, he was of the Baptist faith and an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Glenda J. Bruce Clark of the home; one son, Keith Clark of Tampa, Fla.; one daughter, Jeannie Caudle of Davison, Mich.; two stepdaughters, Debbie Porter of Tampa and Debra Riley of Texarkana, Texas; one stepson, Keith Boone of Paragould; four brothers, Cecil Clark, Raymond Clark, Weldon Clark and William Clark, all of Paragould; one sister, Beulah Wooten of Newport; and one grandchild, Jeremy Caudle of Davison. Alvie Vernon Foster

A.D. Golden
He worked at the Ely and Walker shirt factory in Paragould for 33 years and worked part-time in Damman Hardware in Commerce, Mich. An Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, he was a gunner on a B-24 bomber stationed in Italy. He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Survivors include his wife, Betty Golden of the home; one daughter, Jo Ann Newsbaum of
Commerce; one son, Michael Golden of Marmaduke; one brother, Cloyce Golden; 10
grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Coats Funeral Home in Waterford,
Mich. Burial will be in Harvey's Chapel Cemetery.
Franklin Junior Jackson Born in Wynne, he had lived in Keiser before moving to Lake City in the 1960s. He was of the Baptist belief. Survivors include four sisters, Wilma Robinson of Lake City, Merietta Spear of Terre
Haute, Ind., Patsy Fitzhugh of Blytheville and Judy Leak of Little Rock. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Emerson Funeral Home chapel in Lake

Betty Lemmond
Born in Randolph County, she lived in Walnut Ridge for several years before moving to Jonesboro in 1966. She was a retired licensed practice nurse, working for several years at St. Bernard's Medical Center and the Regional Medical Center of NEA, and was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Jonesboro. Survivors include her husband, Howard Lemmond of the home; three daughters, Luejean Whittaker and Pat West, both of Jonesboro, and Modene Gaulke of Brookland; one brother, Woodrow Shrum of Rockford, Ill.; five grandchildren, Luann Jones, Cheryl Lobato, Scotty Carter, Deionna Fye and Michael Whittaker; and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Emerson Memorial Chapel, with the Rev.

Janice Faye Joiner Janice Faye Joiner, 58, of Paragould died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2002, at her residence. She was born March 20, 1944, in Monette. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Marvin Lee Hardin; her parents, James and Tressie Easley; and a brother, Stephen Joe Easley. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Sandy Hardin, and John and Cindy Hardin, all of Paragould; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Janet Travis of Searcy, Tressie and Mitchell Baker of Kensett and Connie and Jessie Travis of Van Buren, Mo.; two brothers, Bill Easley and Mike Easley, both of Paragould; two sisters, Peggy Harris of Herculaneum, Mo., and Barbara Shelton of Marmaduke; 19 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Mitchell Funeral Home in Paragould with Wayne Gould officiating. Burial will be at Harvey's Chapel Cemetery in Marmaduke. Guy Lowell Laffoon
Guy Lowell Laffoon, 93, of Paragould died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2002, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould. He was born April 18, 1909, in Russellville. He was a retired farmer ad carpenter. He was also a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Poe and Francis Ann Sinclair Laffoon; a son, Larry Laffoon; a brother Leonard Laffoon; and two sisters, Jewell Jennings and Lois Dollar. Survivors include his wife, Mary Laffoon of the home; a son, Lowell Laffoon of Paragould; a brother, Glen Laffoon of Paragould; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Heath Funeral Home in Paragould with Neil Laffoon and Kelvin Laffoon officiating. Burial will be at Linwood Cemetery in Paragould. Juanita Owen
Juanita Owen, 86, of Lonoke, died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2002 at the Lonoke Nursing Home. She was born in Oak Grove and was the retired owner of Grandpa's Grill & Restaurant in Jonesboro. She was a member of the Griffin Memorial United Methodist Church. Survivors include a son, Michael Owen of Sherwood; a stepdaughter, Ginny Owen of
Centerville, Va.; a brother, Gus Miller of Paragould; two sisters, Reba Hampton of
Warrensburg, Mo., and Louise Hart of Paragould; and seven grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Greene County Memorial Gardens in Paragould, with the Rev. Joe A. Black An employee of Hytrol Conveyor Co. in Jonesboro, he was a Baptist. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the Jonesboro Veterans of Foreign Wars post. Survivors include one daughter, Kimberly Dakins of Hawk's Bay, New Zealand; his mother, Dorothy Black of Pocahontas; and one brother, Larry Black of Hoxie. Teddie Hueston Banks, 67, of Paragould died Friday, Sept. 20, 2002 at his residence. Born at Boydsville, he was a retired truck driver with Willis Shaw Trucking Co., a member of Newton Street Church of Christ and the Happy Trails Riding Club. Survivors include his wife, Louise Banks of Paragould; two sons, Keith Banks and Kevin Banks, both of Paragould; two daughters, Patricia Collins and Beverly Hammon, both of Paragould; his stepmother, Thelma Banks of Paragould; two brothers, Bill Banks of Datto and W.T. worked for 33 years. Mr. Hass was a member of Cahokia Park United Methodist Church
and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorotha Baker Hass; his parents, Lee and Vashti Trantham Hass; one son; and two brothers. Born at Heber Springs, she was a longtime resident of the Monette and Leachville area, a retired employee of Frolic Footwear and a member of the Church of God.

David Ray Moore
Born in Paragould, he was a self-employed auto mechanic and was of the Pentecostal belief. Survivors include his parents, Charles and Mary Moore of Cardwell; one brother, Charles Wayne Moore of Paragould; and his maternal grandmother, Dorothy Brown of Paragould. Phillip Dale Hyde
Phillip Dale Hyde, 43, of Paragould died Monday, Sept. 30, 2002, at his residence. He was born Oct. 18, 1958, in Paragould. He was a self-employed carpenter and member of Pine Knot Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Hyde; a brother, Ronnie Hyde; his maternal grandparents, Ralph and Effie Denham; and his paternal grandparents, Boss and Selma Hyde. Survivors include his fiance, Wanda Hill of Paragould; three sons, Eric Wayne Hyde, Robert Hyde, and Shawn Michael Hyde, all of Louisville, Ky.; a stepson, Stephen Hill of Paragould; his mother and stepfather, Nina and John Edrington of Bardstown, Ky.; a sister, Leigh Ann Barber of Bardstown; and a grandchild. Billie "Bill" Windel Parker Billie "Bill" Windel Parker, 63, of Annapolis, Mo., formerly of Paragould died Friday, Sept. 27, 2002, at Three Rivers Healthcare North Campus in Popular Bluff, Mo. He was born Jan. 12, 1939, in Paragould. He was a retired house painter and truckdriver. He lived in Annapolis for the past 22 years. He loved to hunt and fish and attended the Church of God. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bryan and Nettie Parker; and a brother, Bryan Junior Parker. Survivors include his companion, Sandy Sullivan of Annapolis; two children, Billie Windel Parker Jr., of North Carolina, and Mary Janeen Hudson of Mississippi; two brothers, Walter Parker of Lake Elsinore, Calif., Mack Parker of Paragould; two sisters, Vesta Howard of Paragould and Ruth French of Lafe; several grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral was held Sept. 29, at Morrison-Worley Funeral Chapel in Piedmont, Mo., with the Revs. Steve Sale and Clarence Casteel officiating. Burial was at Mann Cemetery in Annapolis.
