Robert Harpole, 86, of Corning, died Friday, Oct. 31, 2003, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould.
He was born Dec. 26, 1916, in Palatka. He was a retired, self-employed farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin Luther and Minerva Paralee Gibbs Harpole and 13 brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Christine Harpole of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Cathy Harpole of Imboden; one daughter and son-in-law, Ruth and Bob Fleming of Corning; four grandchildren, Pam Lowe, Robin Young, Amanda Rorex and Robby Harpole; and three great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Aaron and Rebecca Young.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. today at the Corning Church of Christ with Bill Cline officiating. Burial will be in Corning Cemetery under the direction of Ermert Funeral Home of Corning.
Visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Jeaniece Brewer
Jeaniece Brewer, 81, of Atoka, Tenn., formerly of Paragould, died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2003, at Millington Health Care in Millington, Tenn.
She was a retired librarian of the University of Missouri. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Van and Gladys Brewer; and two brothers, Thomas Brewer and Clair "Shay" Brewer.
She is survived by two sisters, Flossie Weaver of Flint, Mich., and Charlene Parker of Graysville, Ala.; one brother, Chester Brewer of Atoka; six nephews; and five nieces.
Funeral services will at 10 a.m. Thursday at MFH Poplar Chapel. Burial will follow at New Friendship Church in Paragould.
Loretta Bruner
Loretta Bruner, 72, of Jonesboro, died Saturday, Nov. 1, 2003, at her home. She was born in Greene County and moved to Jonesboro 43 years ago. She previously worked in the meat department at Kroger and Safeway and most recently was the co-owner and bookkeeper for the Bruner Saw Shop in Jonesboro. She was a member of TOPS of Arkansas #277 and was a member of the Meatcutters Union for several years.
She was preceded in death by an infant son; her parents, Gus and Gladys Norwood; and a sister, Genola Norwood.
Survivors include her husband, Harold "Butch" Bruner, of the home; two sons, Steve Russell of Hot Springs, and Gene Bruner of Jonesboro; two daughters, Sandi Bagwell of Powhatan and Deby Tacker of Jonesboro; two brothers, Donald Norwood of Stanford and Wendell "Gus" Norwood of Paragould; three sisters, Emma Lou Felty of Stanford, Reba Smith of Paragould and Shirley Morgan of Paragould; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Active pallbearers will be Danny Joe Felty, Bryan Rowe, Gary Felty, Terry Don Norwood, Jeremy Norwood and Lyle Dodd.
Honorary pallbearers will be David Garner, Jim Smith, and Don Ellison.
Visitation was Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

Geneva Pruett, 77, of Rector, died Saturday, Nov. 1, 2003, at Rector Health Care of natural causes. She was born Feb. 17, 1926, in the Ebenezer Community of Clay County. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Laverne A.J. Pruett; her parents, Omer and Callie Shannon; one son, Ronnie Pruett; and one sister, Opal Thompson.

Teddy Neal Reddick
Teddy Neal Reddick, 52, of Paragould, died Saturday, Nov. 1, 2003, at Our Lady Of The Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge, La., of natural causes. He was born July 1, 1951, in Paragould. He worked for 34 years for the Emerson Electric Motor Division in Paragould as a plant superintendent. He was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Paragould.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oneal and Opal (Lucius) Reddick; and a brother, Danny Reddick.
Survivors include his wife, Vicki Reddick of Paragould; one son and daughter-in-law, Brent and Stacie Reddick of Baton Rouge, La.; one daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Brian Wilkins of Paragould; one brother and sister-in-law Donnie and Lorrie Reddick of Paragould; two grandchildren, Emma and Harrison Wilkins, both of Paragould; and one nephew, William Reddick of Paragould.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Newt and Georgie (Payne) Warbritton; his wife, Elsie Warbritton; two sons, Charles and Donald Warbritton; two brothers, Harry and Mert Warbritton; one sister, Marie Warbritton; and one grandson, Eddie Warbritton.

She was born Aug. 13, 1930. in Rector. She was a homemaker and a member of the Gainesville Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Oliver and Verna Cole Gonser.
Survivors include her husband, Billy Dowler, of Lafe; two daughters, Verna Dowler of Paragould, and Gail Parcher of Canton, Mich.; one sister, Vonda Lou Camp of Flushing, Mich.; five grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

He was born Oct. 1, 1917, in Pocahontas. He was a farmer, a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charley and Mazie Marie Standiford Stacy; five brothers, Woodrow W. Stacy, Billy Stacy, Clifford Stacy, Glendon Stacy and James Stacy; and one sister, Charlcie Higgins.

The Rev. Edward Lee Long, 44, of Copperas Cove, Texas, died Saturday, Nov. 1, 2003, in Killeen, Texas.
He was born Dec. 15, 1958 in Long Beach, Calif. He was raised in Arkansas and Killeen, and had been a resident of the local community for 25 years. He was pastor of Bethel Temple Assembly of God in Killeen.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Long; two children, Bobby and Rebekah Long of Copperas Cove; his parents, Bob and Charlene Long of Arkansas; one brother, Gene Long; one sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Dennis Wing, and their daughter, Heather Wing, all of Arkansas.

He was born Dec. 1, 1936, in Greenwood. He was retired from the U.S. government as a food inspector. He attended the Maysville Church of God (Holiness) and was a member of Paragould Masonic Lodge #368 and Scottish Rite and Shrine in Pine Bluff. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl G. and Evia Erwin Smith; one brother; and two sisters.

Norman D. Underwood
Norman D. Underwood, 85, of Clio, Mich., died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2003.
He was born May 12, 1918, in Piggott. He was an athlete at Piggott High School and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a corpsman aboard the U.S.S. Lubbock. He later moved to Flint, Mich., where he worked for the U.S. Postal Service. He was an amateur photographer and craftsman of stained glass. He was a member of Central Baptist Church in Flint, where his stained-glass creations may still be seen. He was also a lifetime member of the Burton V.F.W. Post No. 2777.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Virginia Dearing; his parents, Harvey and Laura Lewis Underwood; and 11 siblings.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Norma Virginia and Homer Jordan of Flint; one sister, Macel Moore of Piggott; two grandchildren, Roger Jordan of Davidson and Lisa Jo Hunt of Dearborn, Mich.; and two great-grandchildren, Jimmy and Jordan Hunt of Dearborn.

H.E. Hilly Bridgforth
H.E. Hilly Bridgforth, 96, of Corning, died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2003, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould.
He was born May 24, 1907, in Malden, Mo. He was the past manager of Ark-Mo Power Co. of Corning and worked 45 years for Entergy Corp. and its predecessor.
He was a lifelong member and Deacon Emeritus of the First Baptist Church in Corning, a 32nd-degree Mason and a 69-year member of Corning Lodge 719. He was also a member of the Corning Chapter of OES.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Reva Halford Bridgforth; his parents, H.B. and Annie Blade Bridgforth; and 11 brothers and sisters.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Patricia Bridgforth of Navarre, Fla.; two brothers, H.B. Bridgforth of Rocky Mount, Mo., and Harold Bridgforth of Flint, Mich.; two sisters, Wilma Sparks and Jennie Mae Lambath, both of St. Francis; two granddaughters, Janet B. William Clinton "Bob" Pillow, 75, of Paragould, died Saturday, Nov. 8, 2003, at his home.
He was born Jan. 5 1928, in Greene County. He was a truck driver and mechanic for the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department and a member of Mulberry Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph William and Dona Daniel Pillow; one brother, Clifton Pillow; and one sister, Florene Pillow.
Survivors include his wife, Christine Hale Pillow of Paragould; one son, Jerry Pillow of Lexington, Tenn.; two sister, Shirley Bohannon of Bryant and Bonnie Barringer of Douglasville, Ga.; and one granddaughter, Tera Lee of Lexington.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Heath Colonial Chapel with Weldon Parkinson and Bill Drake officiating. Burial will be in Greene County Memorial Gardens in Paragould under the direction of Heath Funeral Home of Paragould.
Pallbearers are Bud James Mann, Greg Pillow, Anthony Pankey, Alan Jeter, Mike Cross and Randall Brittingham.
Visitation will be from 6 until 9 a.m. today at the funeral home.

Vern Shatley
Vern Shatley, 90, of Marmaduke, died Friday, Nov. 7, 2003, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould.
He was born Aug. 9, 1913, in Greene County. He was a retired farmer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ida Pauline Shatley; his parents, George and Adella Lester Shatley; one daughter, Rose Secrist; two brothers, Zion Shatley and Clay Shatley; and two sisters, Gladys Arnold and Jewel Cooper.
Survivors include two sons, Tommy Shatley and Jackie Shatley, both of Paragould; four daughters, Shirley Christ of Paragould, Corene Howard and June Burns, both of Marmaduke, and Connie Knee of Pocahontas; one brother, Paul Shatley of Kansas City, Mo.; one sister, Eillene Tabor of Paragould; 21 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Heath Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Faulkner officiating. Burial will be in New Friendship Cemetery in Paragould under the direction of Heath Funeral Home of Paragould.

Peggy Ann Ryan Aney, 65, of Muskegon, Mich., died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2003, at Muskegon, Mich., of natural causes. She was born April 9, 1938, in Light. She was a member of the Sheridan Road Church of Christ in Muskegon, Mich.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Freddie Bellah and Louis Aney; her parents, Major and Pearl (Hartoon) Ryan; one brother, Paul Ryan; one nephew, Todd Cook; one niece, Pauline Ann; one great-niece, Rebecca Zimmerman; and two brothers-in-law, Harold "Gink" Lenderman and Robert Cook.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph and Patty Bellah of Muskegon, Mich., and Louis "Butch" Aney, of Ravenna, Mich.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Belinda and Robert Packer and Crystal and Doug Cook, all of Muskegon, Mich.; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Patsy Lenderman of Paragould, and Lynda and John Midkiff and Susan Cook, all of Muskegon, Mich.; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Garlin Gibbs, 92, of Festus, Mo., died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2003, in Festus, Mo. He was born Sept. 14, 1911, in Greene County. He was a farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Greene and Edna (Reed) Gibbs; two wives, Juanita (Jackson) Gibbs and Frances (Copeland) Gibbs; one daughter, Helen F. Gibbs; one stepson, Joseph Copeland; two brothers, Alvin and Albert Gibbs; and one sister, Marie Hall.
Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Robert and Vickie Gibbs of Festus, Mo., and Danvis Gibbs of St. Louis, Mo.; one stepson, Bill Copeland; two stepdaughters and stepsons-in-law, Heneritta and Bennard Harris of Bellville, Ill., and Dorothy and Roger Weaver of House Springs, Mo.; one sister, Hazel Jenkins of Paragould; 25 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Lillian Lee Johnson, 74, of Marmaduke, died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2003, at Pocahontas. She was born June 11, 1929, in Gamalia. She was the former head of the Marmaduke School cafeteria and a member of the Marmaduke Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Hershel Johnson of Marmaduke; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Joe Jeffers of Walcott and Stanley and Kenna Johnson of Oak Grove; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Carolyn Johnson of Pocahontas, Karen and Phil Brinkley of Pocahontas, Kathy Fisher of Paragould, and Marsha and Jim LaFayette of Jonesboro; one brother, Ted Henson of California; three sisters, Lydia Roberts of Mt. Dessie M. Matheney, 88, of Rector died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2003, at Lake Side Nursing Home in Lake City. She was Born Feb. 15, 1915, in Lafe. She was a homemaker and a member of the Salem Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Louis and Anna (McCoin) Walker; her husband, Woodrow Wilson Matheney; one son, Alfred Matheney; three brothers, Burl, Delbert and Chester Walker; and one sister, Monta Hatch.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Velus and Norma Matheney of Bridgeton, Mo., Lewis Elton and Glenna Matheney of Jonesboro and Oran and Carolyn Matheney of Boydsville; one sister, Ella Grayson of Sullivan, Mo.; 10 grandchildren, Dana Lohman, Keith Matheney, Pam Wallace, Mike Matheney, Tim Matheney, Lisa Jones, Jeff Matheney, Tina Simpson, Warren Matheney and Windell Matheney; and 25 great-grandchildren.

Marty Allen Mathis
Marty Allen Mathis, 37, of Paragould died Saturday, Nov. 8, 2003, at U.T. Bowld Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. He was born May 27, 1966, in Hannibal, Mo. He was an employee of Monroe Auto Equipment Co. in Paragould and a member of Bard Free Worship Church in Paragould.
Survivors include his parents, Paul David and Brenda Mathis of Paragould; his fiancee', Teresa Wooldridge of Paragould; one son, Mikel Allen Mathis of Marmaduke; two stepsons, Kerry Trent Wooldridge and Brian Patrick Wooldridge, both of Paragould; one brother, Johnny Randall Mathis of Paragould; one sister, Tina Joann Boswell of Marmaduke; and his maternal grandmother, Pauline Morgan of Paragould.

Delphia Jewel McDaniel
Delphia Jewel McDaniel, 86, of Leachville died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2003, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould.
Born in Peach Orchard, she was the widow of Grover McDaniel and the daughter of the late James and Nettie Bailey Roach. She had been a life-long Leachville/Manila resident and had worked for many years at Wright's Grocery in Leachville. She was of the Pentecostal faith.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Jimmy Luther McDaniel, and one daughter, Bertha McDaniel Petterson.
She is survived by one son, Jonny McDaniel of Benton; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Shirley and Raymond Roberts of Benton Harbor, Mich., Janice Rounsaville of Leachville, Anita and Lee Johnson of Paragould, and Rhonda and Kirk Rossman of Manila; one sister, Lorine Dublin of Leachville; 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren; and a son-in-law Bill Petterson.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Howard Funeral Chapel in Leachville with the Rev. Eddie Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Leachville Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Flossie M. Pollard, 79, of Rector, died Saturday, Nov. 8, 2003, at Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro of natural causes. She was born Nov. 4, 1924, in Nimmons. She was a homemaker and a member of the United Pentecostal Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Authur and Dixie Ledbetter; two brothers, Albert and Lee Ledbetter; one infant son; four sisters, Estelle Baerbauer, Sherley Lowry, Dolly Christine Jackson and Vera Ledbetter; and one great-grandchild, Destiny Elizabeth Goodman.

Imogene Shelton, 85, of Beebe, formerly of Success, died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2003, at White County Medical Center in Searcy. She was born Dec. 18, 1917, in Pocahontas. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Success Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Shelton; her parents, Stephen Edgar and Susan Miranda (Ennis) Caldwell; and one daughter, Susan Sheehan.
She is survived by one daughter, Pam Fraine of Cabot; one grandson, Heath Fraine of Cabot; and two great-grandsons, Joshua Hunter Fraine and Zackary Taylor Fraine.

John R. "Jack" Staires
John R. "Jack" Staires, 83, of Sullivan, Mo., died Friday, Nov. 7, 2003, in Sullivan of natural causes.
He was born March 29, 1920, in Marmaduke, where he lived until 1953. He was a spray painter at General Motors for 27 years until becoming disabled. He then moved to Lake of the Ozarks for seven years before moving to Sullivan in 1986. He was a member of the Temple Baptist Church in Sullivan. He loved fishing and gardening and was known to have the best tomatoes and green beans around.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Henry and Maggie Hatch Staires; three brothers, Marcus, William and Jessie Staires; and one sister, Eulean Crockett.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Margie (Yates) Ray.

John William Wagner
John William Wagner, 36, of Paragould, died Saturday, Nov. 8, 2003, at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock from complications from cancer. He was born May 2, 1967, in Milan, Tenn.
He was a 1985 graduate of Greene County Tech and employed by the Paragould School District in maintenance. He was formerly employed by Crowley's Ridge College. He was a member of Gainesville Church of Christ.
Survivors include his parents, John H. and Linda (Leach) Wagner of Paragould; one son, William Drew Wagner of Paragould; two daughters, Natalie and Alyssa Wagner, both of Paragould; and one brother, Chad Wagner of Paragould.

He was born March 4, 1954, in Paragould. He worked 31 years in the automotive industry, working the last 10 years as an automotive consultant for Atcon, Inc., out of Birmingham, Ala. He was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his father, Glessner Benson.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Kirklin Benson of Marion; his mother, Ann Benson of Rector; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Kirk Benson of Marion and Chris and Amy Benson of Jonesboro; one daughter, Carla Benson of Memphis, Tenn.; one sister, Gloria Curtis of Marmaduke; and two grandchildren, Austin and Hanna Benson, both of Jonesboro.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert McDonald, and her mother, Alene Rowe.

William R. "Bill" Cameron
William R. "Bill" Cameron, 75, of Groves, Texas, formerly of Paragould, died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2003, at Christus St. Mary Hospital in Port Arthur, Texas.
He was born March 20, 1928, in Paragould. He was retired from the U.S. Army and held the rank of sergeant first class. He received the National Defense Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, the Bronze Star, the Vietnam Service Medal with one silver and two bronze service stars, expert rifle, the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Palm and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. He was a paratrooper with the 11th Airborne Division.
The was preceded in death by his wife, Eloise Hyde Cameron; his parents, John Thomas and Zeliah Weatherford Cameron; one grandson, Hogan Weaver; and one sister, Laura Oglesby.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Ed and Kathy Cameron of Blytheville and Ron and Virginia Cameron of Groves; one daughter, Donna Weaver of Paragould; one brother, Charlie Cameron of Paragould; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Henry and Millie Williams Gibbs, and one great-granddaughter, Payton Marie Gibbs.

Richard Lee Yates, 67, of Walnut Ridge, died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2003, at his home.
He was born June 10, 1936, in Rector and was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in the Korean War. He was a member of the Royal Lodge 423, a retired foreman for Frolic Footwear, and a member of East Side Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Oral and Leeoda Jones Yates, and one brother, Marion Yates.
Survivors include his wife, Elwanda Yates of the home; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Jeff and Kellie Yates of Walnut Ridge and Steve Yates and Mark Yates, both of Jonesboro; three sisters, Louise Scudder, Catherine Smith and Georgia Worsham, all of Paragould; three grandchildren, Tayler Yates, Hunter Yates and Holley Yates; and many other relatives and friends.

She was born Feb. 9, 1923, in Silver Dale, Mo. She had resided in Wilmot for 46 years and was a homemaker and a Delaplaine school teacher.
She was an active member of the Church of Christ in Wilmot.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Etta Julian Metheny, two sisters and one brother.

Donald Lee Gibson, Sr., 71, of Paragould, died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2003, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was born July 14, 1932, in Arbyrd, Mo. He was retired from General Motors, Buick Division, Flint, Mich., and was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dave P. and Alice Pruett Gibson; two sisters, Donna Foutch and Artie Mae Gibson; and one son, Rubert Gibson.

Inetha L. Healey, 78, died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2003, at Hospice Residential Care Center in Hutchinson, Kan. She was born June 28, 1925, in Beech Grove. She was a homemaker her entire life and a member of Walnut and Campbell Church of Christ in Hutchinson, Kan. She was also a member of Comfort Makers in Hutchinson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil Berry and Belva Leaner DeHart Morrow; her husband, James Elbert Healey; and one sister, Pauline Crabtree.

Mozelle Bradley, 92, of Cardwell, Mo., died Saturday, Nov. 15, 2003, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould.
She was a lifelong resident of Cardwell and a longtime member of Antioch Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew Jackson and Linnie May Jarrett Bradley.

She was also active in Women's Missionary Union and Friendship Home Demonstration Club.

Bernice Laverne Dunning, 81, died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2003, at Alton Memorial Hospital in Jerseyville, Ill. She was born in Cairo, Ill., on Aug. 18, 1922, to the late Otto Orange and Margaret Sweet Covert. She lived in various parts of the country throughout her life, raising her family in both Matthews, Mo., and Pontiac, Mich., before moving to Ennis, Texas, where she has spent the last 30 years. In the past three weeks, she moved to the an area where she could be closer to her family.
She was preceded in death by a son, Danny Joe Dunning; a grandson, Roger Holyfield; a brother, Robert Covert; an infant brother, James Covert; and infant twin sisters, Pauline and Ailene Covert.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Ray Holyfield of Grafton; a son and daughter-in-law, Henry and Barbara Dunning Jr. of Maybank, Texas; one sister, Peggy Larange of Pontiac; nine grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Earl Noah Atwood, 83, of Marmaduke, died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2003, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.
He was born Oct. 30, 1920, in Marmaduke.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army of World War II and the Korean War. He was a retired farmer and a member of New Life Temple, American Legion and Adams Jackson Post.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Myrtle Atwood; two brothers, Mose Lee and Henry Atwood; and one sister, Bessie Rogers.

William Hall Spence, 85, of Gainesville, died Monday, Nov. 24, 2003, at his residence. He was born Jan. 5, 1918 in Hornersville, Mo. He was retired from Darling Store Fixtures and was a farmer and owner of Pine Lake. He was a member of Gainesville Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ida Hall Spence; two daughters, Novella Warren and Loretta Leonard; one brother; and two sisters.

Fred Leonard, 58, of Corning, died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould.
He was born March 25, 1945, in Moark. He was a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam and had a total of 22 years of service in law enforcement, beginning in the 1970s with the Corning Police Department and continuing with the Clay County Sheriff's Office. He had recently retired from the sheriff's office and was starting a new position as criminal investigator for the Corning Police Department. He was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lori Irene Leonard; one sister, Debbie; and one brother, Jerry.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Leonard of Corning; two daughters, Tammy Miller and Margaret Hawkins, both of Corning; two sons, Fred Ray Leonard, Jr., and Bryan Lee Leonard, both of Corning; his father, Wayne Leonard of Corning; four brothers, Eddie Leonard of Doniphan, Mo., Don Leonard of Hardy, and David Leonard and John Leonard, both of Corning; four sisters, Betty Crossen, Ella Mae Hathaway and Donna Pearson, all of Corning, and Lynn Niswonger of Russellville; and eight grandchildren.
