H.E. Smith

Hubert E. Smith, 72, of Paragould died Saturday, November 27, 1999, at V.A. Medical Center in Memphis, TN

He was born February 21, 1927 in Caraway. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and a farmer. Mr. Smith was a World War II Army veteran and was of the Church of Christ faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Isom Smith and Stella McGowan Smith Barnette.

Survivors include two daughters, Carol Foster of Paragould and Kathryn Wade of Carrollton, Texas; three brothers, Clifford Smith and Norvil Smith, both of Henderson, TN., and Merl Smith of Akron, Ohio; two granddaughters, Chrissy Sain of Walnut Ridge and Lori Myers of Oak Grove, KY.; and a great-grandson, Levi Myers of Oak Grove, KY.

A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Greene County Memorial Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. Dennis Scudder officiating.

Pallbearers will be Roger Vick, Lelan Newberry, Harlan Chesser and Max Tomlinson.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 this evening at Heath Funeral Home in Paragould.

The family requests memorials be made to the Kidney Foundation.
