Jack Rupert Thomen
Jack Rupert Thomen, 77, of Delaplaine, died Thursday, March 1, 2007, at Arkansas Methodist
Medical Center. Born April 7, 1929, in Delaplaine, he retired from L. A. Darling and was a
member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Enid Marie Thomen of Little Rock; four sons and
daughters-in-law, Don and Stephanie Thomen of Lucedale, Mississippi, Gary and Carolyn
Thomen of Houston, Texas, Larry and Cynthia Thomen of Haltom City, Texas, and Roger Thomen
of Delaplaine. He is also survived by two daughters, Brenda Willett and her husband, Ron,
of North Little Rock, Debra Thomen of Sherwood, Arkansas; one brother, William
Bill Thomen of Conway; five grandchildren; and by five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, W. E. and Pearl Thomen; seven brothers; and three
sisters.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 P.M. Monday, March 5th, at the Mitchell Funeral Home
Chapel, Paragould, with Rick Ethridge officiating. Burial will follow at the Jones Ridge
Cemetery, Delaplaine. Close friends will serve as pallbearers.

Bradley Scott Latham
Bradley Scott Latham, 37, of Beech Grove, died Thursday, March 1, 2007, at St. Bernard's
Medical Center.
Survivors are his wife, Ellice Ann Latham; his son, Dylan Scott Latham, and daughter, Anna
Marie Latham, all of the home. He is also survived by his father, Johnny Mac Latham; his
mother, Judy Diane Latham, both of Beech Grove; his brother, Bryan Stuart Latham of
Fairfax, Virginia; his maternal grandparents, Herman and Elgareda Williams of Beech Grove.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Herman and Gladys Latham.
Brad was a member of Evening Star Church of Christ. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast.
Brad was an employee of Gateway Engineering in Jonesboro. He worked through contract at
Kraft Foods, Post Division. Brad had many friends and loved ones, and will be greatly
missed. Loved by all, Honored by many.
Visitation will be at Mitchell Funeral Home, Paragould, from 6:00-9:00 p.m., Sunday.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Monday, March 5th, graveside at Morrow Cemetery with
Bud Whitmire officiating. The procession will leave Mitchell Funeral Home at 9:30 a.m.,
Monday. All bikers are welcome. Following the service, food will be served at the
Commissary Church of Christ.

Carolyn Sue Melton
Carolyn Sue Melton, 64, died Thursday, March 1, 2007, in Jonesboro.
Born at Light, she had lived in Walnut Ridge before moving to Jonesboro 40 years ago. She
was a former employee of St. Bernards Regional Medical Center, a homemaker and of the
Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Lorene Brady.
She is survived by her husband, James Melton; sons, Kevin and wife Patty of Jonesboro,
Barry and companion Janet Schuchman of Jonesboro; Brian and wife Libby of Manchester, Mo.;
brothers, Ronnie Brady and wife Brenda of Hoxie, Darrell Brady and wife Ricca of Walnut
Ridge; sisters, Treasa Ferguson of Hoxie, Lavern and husband Laveral Rogers of Paragould;
grandchildren, Hope, Amelia and Lindley Melton, Braden and Abby Melton and Chris and
Crystale Willfond.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in House-Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Walnut
Ridge. Burial will follow at Lawrence Memorial Park Cemetery.

Cletus E. Godfrey
Mrs. Cletus E. Godfrey, 94, daughter of the late James and Carrie Nelson Jones, was born
April 5, 1912, in Rex, Ark. He passed away Friday, March 2, 2007, at Arkansas Methodist
Medical Center in Paragould.
Mrs. Godfrey married Willie Lee Godfrey on Sept. 10, 1929, in Rupert, Ark. He preceded her
death on Oct. 1968.
Survivors include nine children and their spouses, Vernis and Ramona Godfrey of
Indianapolis, Ind., Corey and Radene Godfrey of Muncie, Ind., Vivian and Doyle Ford of
Jefferson, Ga., Bill and Gwenda Godfrey of Arbyrd, Mo., Madge and Don Bost of Senath, Mo.,
Mitchell and Jennie Godfrey of Branson, Mo., Eva and Carl Eubanks of Paragould, and Trish
and David Stacy of Arkansas; 17 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; 23
great-great-grandchildren; and other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Winnie and Leola Dale Jones; two grandchildren,
Larry Ford and Linda Godfrey; a brother, Orus Jones; five step brothers, Willie, Jerl,
Paul, Opie and Odell Hefner; a step sister, Zola Hefner Godfrey, who was also her
sister-in-law.
Funeral services were Monday, March 5, at 10 a.m. at the Full Gospel Church in Cardwell
with the Rev. Leland Dement officiating. Burial will be in the Lulu Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her five sons, and Larry Petty.

James Leroy Britt
James Leroy Britt, 71, of Paragould, died Friday, March 2, 2007, at his residence.
Mr. Britt was born in Alicia, Arkansas, August 26, 1935. He was a retired construction
worker and truck driver, and a member of the Center Hill Baptist Church of Bono.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann Britt of the home; triplet sons, James Leroy
Britt, Jr., Terry Lee Britt, and Timmy Lee Britt, all of Paragould; three daughters,
Judith Lynn Watson of Paragould, Ollie Florence Britt and Judy Lee Mooney, both of Conway.
He is also survived by one half-brother, William Britt of OKean; two half-sisters,
Dorothy Britt of Jonesboro, and Elizabeth Brown of Indiana; and by six grandchildren,
Michael Lee Watson, Jr., Coty Lee Britt, Adam Christopher Watson, Blake Edward Britt,
Corey Dwayne Britt, all of Paragould, and Elise Isabella Mooney of Conway, Arkansas.
Visitation will be Sunday, from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Mitchell Funeral Home of
Paragould.

Shari Whitby
Shari Jean Dacus Whitby, 45, died Friday, March 2, 2007, at her home in Paragould.
She was born July 6, 1961, in Muskegon, Mich., the daughter of John and Lorene Sullivan
Dacus. Shari was a longtime employee of Unico Bank and a member of West View Baptist
Church.
She was survived by her husband, Mike E. Whitby; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and
Carissa Whitby; daughter, Chelsie Whitby; parents, John and Lorene Dacus; brother, Rick
Dacus; and her mother-in-law, Lola Potter, all of Paragould.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Diane Dacus; uncle, J.L. Sullivan; maternal
grandparents, Madison and Nora Sullivan; and her paternal grandparents, Johnnie and Bertha
Dacus of Stanford.
Her family will receive friends from 6-8 tonight at Heath Funeral Home.
Shari's life will be celebrated Monday, March 5, 11 a.m. at West View Baptist Church with
the Rev. Marc Reeves officiating. Burial will follow in Greene County Memorial Gardens.

P.D. Cain, 86, of Paragould died Friday, March 2, 2007, in Jonesboro.
He was an Army veteran, VFW member, retired operating engineer for Western Construction
and a Seed of Faith Pentecostal Church member.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita Carter Cain; son, Stephen Wayne Cain; daughter, Inez
Murray, both of Little Rock; two sisters; three grandchildren; and two
great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Heath Colonial Chapel with burial
following in Pine Knot Cemetery.

Paulette Rose
Paulette Rose, 62, of Paragould died Friday, March 2, 2007, at her residence.
She was born on Nov. 15, 1945, in Paragould. Mrs. Rose was an LPN and a member of the 2nd
and Walnut Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Bob Rose of the home; her mother, Pauline Willey of
Paragould; three sons, William Clayton McBryde Jr. and John Kurtis McBryde, both of
Russellville, and James Clinton McBryde of Ash Flat; two stepsons, Brandon L. Rose of
Paragould and Robert L. Rose Jr. of New Orleans, two stepdaughters, Heidi Hoppe and Paige
Baker, both of New Orleans; and eight grandchildren.
Mrs. Rose was preceded in death by her father, Norman H. Willey.

Iva Reba Smith
Iva Reba Smith, 92, of Rector died Friday, March 2, 2007, at Arkansas Methodist Medical
Center in Paragould.
Mrs. Smith was born April 5, 1914, in Clay County to the late Russell and Louella (Hoil)
Williams. She was married to Carl Smith, who preceded her in death May 7, 1996. She also
was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Maxine Smith; four brothers, Roy, Ben,
Granville and Henry Smith, and three sisters, Wilma Shelton, Ruth Stevens and Dora Watson.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Rector First General Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Sue Smith of Rector; one daughter,
Mary Ella Smith of Rector; two brothers, R.W. Williams and Wheeler Williams, both of
Rector; two grandchildren, Tammy Keller and Neal Smith, and five great-grandchildren,
Kristen, Karis, Brian, Kyle and Klay.
Funeral services were at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, March 4, at the Rector First General Baptist
Church with Bro. Marston Carpenter officiating. Burial was in Woodland Heights Cemetery in
Rector.

Mary Estelle Morris
Mary Estelle Morris, 92, of Paragould died Saturday, March 3, 2007, at Arkansas Methodist
Medical Center in Paragould.
She was born Aug. 19, 1914, in Pollard, the daughter of the late James Alfred and Mary Ray
Stairs. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Perry Marlar; her
second husband, Alfred Raymond Morris; and her daughter, Margaret Joann Tatum.
She worked at Ely Walker Shirt Factory for 28 years and has worked at the family business,
Ballard's Flowers, since 1966. She was a member of Third Avenue Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Opal Marlar of Paragould;
stepson, Brit Lyles of Paragould; grandchildren, Greg Marlar of Paragould, Tarry Marlar of
Fort Smith and Tauny Emery of Collierville, Tenn.; nine great-grandchildren; and two
great-great-grandchildren.
Her life will be celebrated Monday, March 5, at Third Avenue Baptist Church in Paragould
at 2 p.m. Visitation will precede the service from 1-2 p.m. at the church. Burial will
follow at Linwood Cemetery.

Vivian Junaita Walden
Vivian Juanita Walden, 89, formerly of Paragould, died Saturday, March 3, 2007 in
Pocahontas. She was born February 12, 1918 in Paragould the daughter of the late Thomas
and Hazel Hutson. She was also preceded by her husband, Clifton Eugene Walden and her
brother.
She was a homemaker, owner and operator of Walden Drug, a foster mother and was Church of
Christ. She is survived by her three sons, Bill Walden of Bristow, Virginia; Tom Walden of
Owasso, Okla.; and Reverend Bob Walden of Hawaii; sister, Louise Moore of Paragould; nine
grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Her life will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at Linwood Cemetery with Ed Woodward and
Larry McFadden officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be sent to the Childrens Home
of Paragould.
Rev. Carl Lueker
The Reverend Carl Lueker 86, of Mountain Home died Saturday, March 3, 2007. He was born
December 25, 1920 at Dover, Arkansas to Charlie and Louise Harms Lueker. He married Minnie
Gerdes on July 28th, 1946 at Lafe. He was a retired Lutheran Pastor being a graduate of
Concordia Theological Seminary of Springfield, Illinois in 1946. He served his vicarage at
St. John's Lutheran church in Chicago, Illinois. During his ministry he served churches in
Granite and Breckinridge, Oklahoma for 11 years, Alexandria, Indiana for 11 years ,
Wichita, Kansas for 4 years and Clarinda, Iowa for 13 years. After retirement he moved to
Mountain Home, Arkansas and was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. He visited the
shut-in members of Redeemer and gave them communion. He also held communion services at
the nursing homes and Sunday Morning services at many neighboring congregations during
their vacancies.
Survivors: wife, Minnie Lueker, Mountain Home; 3 daughters, Lois Joslyn and husband Randy
of Coralville, Iowa, Esther Hass and husband Kenneth of Memphis, Michigan, Karen Nolting
and husband Timothy of Berthoud, Colorado; 1 son, Carl Lueker, Jr. and wife Sharyn of
LaGrange, Texas; 2 sisters, Louise Welch and husband Harley and Lydia Tritch all of Lafe.
Also 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, plus many nieces and nephews.
Rev. Lueker was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

A.D. Huffine, 79, of Paragould, died Sunday, March 4, 2007 at St. Bernards Medical
Center after a lengthy illness. He was a Korean War veteran and a member of Browns
Chapel Baptist Church. Mr. Huffine retired from the Arkansas State Highway Department. Mr.
Huffine was born January 20, 1928.
Survivors include his wife, Rosa Lee Huffine; one son and daughter-in-law, Aven and Sherry
Huffine; four daughters and sons-in-law, Kay and Keith Throneberry of Pine Bluff,
Arkansas, Betty and Stan Garner of Danville, Arkansas, Rose Mary and Jerry Agee of
Paragould, Susie and Steve McClelland of Paragould. He is also survived by five

Shelby Jean Cooper
Shelby Jean Cooper, 69, of Paragould died Sunday, March 4, 2007 at St. Bernards Medical
Center in Jonesboro.
She was born Dec. 16, 1937, in Paragould, the daughter of the late Charlie and Vivian
Tyner Overman. She was a retired child care operator and a homemaker. She was a member of
Bethel Church of Christ.
Shelby's son, Harold "Hal" Dennis Cooper III, and two infant brothers also
preceded her in death.
She is survived by her loving husband, Dennis Cooper; two daughters, Cindy Wood and Renee
Johnson of Paragould; one brother, Wayne Overman of Olive Branch, Miss.; one sister,
Charlotte Campbell of Paragould; and seven grandchildren, Kyle, Jason, Ryan and Tyler Wood
and Jacob, Chris and Landon Johnson.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Heath Colonial Chapel with Larry

Mary Sue Thompson
Mary Sue Thompson, 74, of Paragould, died Monday, March 5, 2007, at Greene Acres Nursing
Center. She was born Oct. 28, 1932, in Blytheville, Ark., the daughter of the late Joseph
and Mary Spencer. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Eugene Thompson; a
grandson, Timothy Latham; a granddaughter, Angela Gerrish; and four brothers. She was a
homemaker and a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Brenda Sue Gerrish of Paragould, Linda Lou Clayton of
Lakeland, Fla., and Connie Jean Latham of Water Valley, Miss.; a brother, Charles Spencer
of Paragould; a sister, Virginia Inez Brown of Paragould; seven grandchildren, and 12
great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., today at Heath Funeral Home. Her
life will be celebrated at 2 p.m., Wednesday at Shiloh Cemetery with the Rev. Michael

Mae Lillie Jean Cupp
Mae Lillie Jean Cupp, 78, died Monday, March 5, 2007 at her home in Paragould. She was
born November 11, 1928 in Dunklin County, Missouri the daughter of the late Doc and
Blanche McClearn. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Adolph Cupp, three
brothers and two sisters. She worked at Gibsons until they closed and then worked at
Wal-Mart for 15 years. She and her husband were two of the founders of Grace United
General Baptist Church where she was also the childrens church director for many
years.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Kay Cupp of Paragould; sisters, Billie Rowland of
Paragould, Mary Cude of Leachville and Brenda Holt of Leachville; aunt, Lucille Monk;
granddaughter, Tamara Baughn of Jonesboro and her great grandchildren: Jake French and
Isabella Baughn.
The family will receive friends from noon until service time at 2 p.m. today at the Heath
Colonial Chapel. Reverend Royce Schanda will officiate. Burial will follow at Greene
County Memorial Gardens.
Bobby Norman Noles
Mr. Bobby Norman Noles, 63, of Walcott, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 5, 2007,
at his home. He was born in Walcott, December 11, 1943, and lived there his entire life.
He was employed by W. R. Foods in Jonesboro where he worked for 38 dedicated years. Mr.
Noles was a life long member of the Walcott Baptist Church and was a member of the Woodman
of the World. He was an avid duck hunter and a wonderful husband, father, and friend.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Noles; a granddaughter, Rebecca Suzanne
Davenport; a nephew, Richard Samuel Newberry; and his father-in-law, Howard Jackson Baird.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Ethel Baird Noles; his children, Norma and Dennis
Davenport, and Amanda and Sam Isom; his mother, Marlue Shipman Noles; one brother and
sister-in-law, Bill and Mary Noles; a sister and brother-in-law, Paula and Richard
Newberry; his granddaughters, Fallyn Taylor Davenport, Jenna Brianne Davenport, and Kaley
Reese Isom; his mother-in-law, Lucille Baird; two sisters-in-law and their husbands, Becky
and Jim Diggs, and Sue and Don Huffman; a brother-in-law and his wife, Bo and Bonnie
Baird; five nieces, Gina Smith, Deanna Allred, Lindsay Newberry, Donna Jones, and Andrea

Jerry Doris Towell
Jerry Doris Towell, 74, died Monday, March 5, 2007 in Benton. She was born June 5, 1932
the daughter of the late Marvin John and Lela Ola Morrow Towell.
She was Church of Christ. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Duane and Faye

Donald Weatherford
Donald Weatherford, 67, of Alexandria, Louisiana, formerly of Paragould, died Monday,
March 5, 2007 at Rapides Regional Medical Center. A veteran of the US Navy, Mr.
Weatherford was born August 25, 1939, in Paragould. He was a tobacco salesman.
He is survived by four sons, Donnie Weatherford, Ronnie Weatherford, and Freddie Brande,
all of Alexandria, Louisiana, and Steve Weatherford of Texas. Survivors also include one
brother, Gene Weatherford of Paragould; four half- brothers, Bennie Weatherford, Jeff
Weatherford, and Ed Weatherford, all of Paragould, Neal Weatherford of Texas; one
half-sister, Linda Weatherford of Paragould; and several grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arlie and Ada Weatherford; and by one brother,
Harold Weatherford.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00-9:00 p.m., at Mitchell Funeral Home, Paragould.

Willis Marcy Fossett
Willis Marcy Fossett, 89, of Delaplaine died Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at Arkansas
Methodist Medical Center in Paragould.
He was born Nov. 11, 1917, at Roswell, N.M., the son of the late Charles Dee and Bertha
Wygant Fossett. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Charles and Denman Fossett;
two sisters, Birdie Maynard and Bessie Eveland; two infant sisters; and a
great-grandchild.
He was a retired farmer and worked on the Union Pacific Railroad for several years. He was
a member of Delaplaine Church of Christ.
He was survived by his wife, Berniece Nation Fossett of the home; sons and
daughters-in-law, Weldon and Sharon Fossett of Huntingtown, Md., and Wayne and Marcie
Fossett of Owings, Md.; daughter and son-in-law, Marsha and Dan McInnis of Madison, Miss.;
sister, Yula Young of Bald Knob; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one
great-great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Friday at Heath Funeral Home.

Essie Mae Rodgers
Essie Mae Rogers, 64, of Paragould died Thursday, March 8, 2007, at her residence.
She was born Feb. 2, 1943, in Moro, the daughter of the late Elmer and Mae Rogers.
She was employed at Abilities Unlimited in Jonesboro and Paragould and attended the New
Covenant Worship Center in Paragould.
Essie was also preceded in death by her stepfather, Grover Miller; sisters, Jo Powell and
Kathy Rogers; and a brother, Roy Rogers.
She is survived by two sisters, Ruth Cross of Paragould and Mary Whitlock of Zion, Ill.;
several nieces and nephews; and many friends at Abilities Unlimited.
Visitation will be held today from 6-9 p.m. at Heath Funeral Home. Funeral services will
be Wednesday in Congdon Funeral Home at Zion. Burial will follow at Mount Olevet Cemetery,
Zion.
Euna Mae Murdoch
Euna Mae Murdoch, 90, of Peach Orchard, died Thursday, March 8, 2007, at Arkansas
Methodist Medical Center.
Born December 6, 1916, in Beech Grove, she was a former restaurant owner and a member of
the 1st Baptist Church of Knobel. Mrs. Murdoch lived in Indiana for twenty years.
Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Mason of Peach Orchard, and Dewanda Triplett of
Mountain Home; two brothers, James Butler of Houston, Texas, and Wayne Butler of
Lewisville, Texas; seven sisters, Louise Grooms of Paragould, Romajean Davis of Phoenix,
Arizona, Kaye Butler of Bossier City, Louisiana, Geraldine Smith of Swartz Creek,
Michigan, Cecelia OBannon of Houston, Texas, Corean House of Bossier City, and
Jovean Butler Bailey of Middleton, Tennessee. She is also survived by seven grandchildren;
eleven great grandchildren; and by two great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Cora Butler; her husband, Herschel
Murdoch; and by one son, Herschel Michael Murdoch.
Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m., Saturday, March 10th, at the Mitchell Funeral Home

Woodrow Wilson Payton
Woodrow Wilson Payton, 88, of Blytheville, formerly of Marmaduke, died Friday, March 9,
2007, at Baptist East in Memphis.
Born June 21, 1918, in Gravette, Ark., to the late Harvey Leroy Payton and Emma Alice
(Vermillion), he worked for Ark-Mo Power. He was a World War II Navy veteran of the Korean
conflict and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
Also preceding him in death was his wife, Isabel, in 1997.
Survivors include two sons, Glenn Payton of Memphis and Dr. Terry Payton of Fayetteville;
one brother, Waldo Emerson Payton of Roland, Okla.; one sister, Ada Miller of Bakersfield,
Calif.; four grandchildren, Brittany, Shanley, Stewart and Shawn Payton, and
great-grandchildren, Daniel, Nikki and Molly Payton.

Robert Walter Bud Johnson, 89 of Paragould, died Friday March 9, 2007 at the
Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. Mr. Johnson was born on September 26, 1917 in Ebenezer,
Arkansas he was a cattle farmer and of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include his wife: Lelah Agnes Johnson of the home, one son: Robert Oneil Johnson
of Paragould.
Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by three brothers: Fred, Alfred and Wayne Johnson and by
one sister: Evelyn Smith.

George Wayne Dickerson, 73, of Paragould died Friday, March 9, 2006 as a result of a
truck-train accident.
He was retired from Regal Marine Industry Inc. in Orlando, Fla., and was a member of
Newton Street Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George B. and Ara Bell Brown Dickerson, and one
brother, Eugene Dickerson.
Survivors include his wife, Fannie Crotts Dickerson of the home; brother, Roger Dickerson
of Oklahoma; and sisters, Barbara Land of Blytheville and Lavenia Brothers of Oklahoma.

Harold C. Treadway and Vicki Treadway
Harold C. "Butch" Treadway, 63, and his wife, Vicki, 65, of Plato, Missouri,
died Friday, March 9, 2007, in a car accident three miles south of Roby, Mo.
Butch and Vicki were married on Feb. 5, 1982, in Light. During their marriage, they had
lived in Arkansas, Kentucky, Oregon, Texas and Missouri. They had just celebrated their
25th wedding anniversary in Branson, Mo., this past February with family and friends. They
were members of the Church of Christ in Houston, Mo.
Butch was retired from the Army after 28 years of military service. Butch was born in
Jonesboro on Aug. 7, 1943, and grew up in Jonesboro. He graduated from Jonesboro High
School in 1961, then joined the Air Force and served several tours of duty in Vietnam. He
was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 469 in Plato, a Shriner, a member of the York Rite in
Rolla, a member of the Scottish Rite in Joplin and an at-large member of DAV No. 49 in
Missouri.
Vicki was a homemaker and a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She was born in Walnut
Corner on Jan. 22, 1942.
Vicki attended Greene County Tech schools in the late 1950s and later worked as a
certified nurses' assistant in several area nursing homes.
Both are survived by their two sons, Steve Boren of Green Forest, Vince Boren of Lebanon,
Mo.; a daughter, Kathy Boren of Green Forest; and four grandchildren, Jason Boren, Amanda
Boren, Cody Boren and Brock Boren.
Butch is also survived by his mother, Mary L. "Molly" Davis; a brother, Doug
Davis; a sister, Patricia Cockrell, all of Jonesboro; and several nephews. His father,
Buck Davis, preceded him in death.
Vicki is survived by her sister, Rachel Hefner of Plato, Mo.; and several nieces and
nephews. Her parents and a brother, Wendell Romans, preceded her in death.
Joint funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 13, in the Chapel of
Langford-Bookout Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Don Pruitt and Dr. Glen Putman
officiating. Burial will follow in Herndon Cemetery north of Jonesboro. Langford-Bookout

Cora Mae Girard, 79, of Jonesboro, died March 9, 2007, at her home.
She had lived most of her life in Walnut Ridge. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Girard; her parents; and three
brothers.
Survivors include three daughters, Joyce Hoffman, Jonesboro, and Shirley Pillow and
Annette Minick, both of Paragould; a son, John David Girard, Jonesboro; two sisters,
Virginia Ham, Walnut Ridge, and Laverne Birmingham, Flint, Mich.; two brothers, Donnie

Martha Pruett Frederick
Martha T. Pruett Frederick, 87, of Paragould, AR., formerly of Kennett, died Monday, March
12, 2007, at Green Acres Nursing Home in Paragould.
Born Nov. 10, 1919, in Remal, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Edward and Josephine
Mertz Amick.
In 1932, in Kennett, she married James Pruett, who preceded her in death. She later
married Pete Frederick.
Survivors include two sons, Paul Pruett and wife, Ceicle, of Hardy, Ark., and James Pruett
and wife, Patty, of Rector, Ark.; two daughters, Conchita Carpenter, of Paducah, Ky., and
Betty Brown and husband, Jim, of Paragould; one brother, Edward Amick and wife, Rose, of
Arizona; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Ruth Flechell.
Graveside services were held at 1 p.m., today, Wednesday, March 14, in the Oak Ridge
Cemetery at Kennett with the Rev. Nathan Prim officiating.

Imodell Northen
Imodell Northen, 84, was born on March 28, 1922, near Lorado, called to meet her Lord on
March 13, 2007.
After graduating from Walcott High School, she was employed as Office Manager at Singer
Company in Trumann. She moved to Paragould in the 1940s where she was employed at
Grabers Department Store. After the birth of her daughter, she was a full-time
mother and housewife.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Northen, and parents, Will and Blanche
Barrow.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Kaye Northen of Paragould; a brother-in-law and his
wife, Joe and Patsy Barrow of Memphis; and two cousins, Bernita Barrow and Mance Barrow of
Paragould.
She was a member of East Side Baptist Church since 1947 where she taught Sunday School for
over 40 years, and former member of the Adult Choir for many years. She served as clerk of
Greene County Baptist Association for 20 years, and was a member of the senior adult group
at East Side.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, at Mitchell Funeral Home, Paragould.
Funeral services will be Friday, March 16th, at 2:00 P.M. at East Side Baptist Church with

of Shiloh United Methodist Church.
Clara was also preceded in death by her husband, Otey Garland Foster; sisters, Lola Mae

Ophelia Jayne Wadley
Ophelia Jayne Light Wadley died peacefully on Thursday, March 15, 2007, at 98 years of
age.
She was born Sept, 21, 1908, in Paragould to George and Mary Faulkner Light.
She was a substitute school teacher at Lakeside School, member of Eastern Star for 50
years and member of Robbs Chapel Baptist Church, where she was still teaching her Sunday
school class at the age of 98.

sisters, Cullen Light, Lurline Henry, Frances Hammond and Agnes Light.
Survivors include her seven children, Pat and Jim Thomas of Paragould, George Robert and
Connie Wadley of Searcy, Sue Cato of Little Rock, Anita and Harry Evans of Santa Anna,
Texas, Kay and Al Martinez of Atlanta, Angela and Hugh Hyde of Houston and Marilyn
Misenhimer of Fayetteville. She has 21 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and seven
great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters, Anna Lee Mickey and Amelia
Weatherly of Paragould.

Mary Melvalou (Dawson) Dowdy, 69, of Paragould died Friday, March 16, 2007 at St Bernards
Medical Center in Jonesboro.
She was born Sept. 22, 1937, the daughter of the late Arthur and Hester (Taylor) Dawson.
She is also preceded in death by her brother, Orbie Dawson; and her foster brother,
Charles Alfred Tracer.
She was employed by CRDC/Head Start and was a member of Seventh & Mueller Church of
Christ.
She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Olive of Leachville and Kathy Moore of
Paragould; sons, David Dowdy of Paragould and Paul Dowdy of Little Rock; sister, Myrtle
Utley of Paragould; brother, John Dawson of Paragould; five grandchildren; and four
great-grandchildren.

Marion Louise (Hutson) Moore, 87, of Paragould died Friday, March 16, 2007 at Arkansas
Methodist Medical Center in Paragould.
Mrs. Moore was a homemaker and a member of Griffin Memorial United Methodist Church. She
was born Jan. 14, 1920, the daughter of the late Thomas and Hazel (Crum) Hutson.
She was also preceded in death by her sister, Vivian Walden; and her brother, Kenneth
Hutson.
She is survived by her husband, Troy Moore of the home; daughter, Susan Moore; son, Terry
Moore; and grandson, Christian Moore, all of Paragould.
Her life will be celebrated at a graveside service in Linwood Cemetery at 10 a.m. Monday,
March 19, with the Rev. Michael Sutton officiating.
Jim Daniels
Jim Daniels, the son of the late Leonard Daniels and Isabelle Henderson Daniels, was born
in Clarksville, Arkansas on September 11, 1943, and passed away at the St. Bernards
Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas on March 17, 2007, at the age of 63 years,
6 months and 6 days.
He was a former resident of the Dexter, Missouri area but had resided in Paragould,
Arkansas the last fourteen years. He was of the protestant faith.
Surviving are his wife, Evelyn Daniels; sons, James Daniels Jr. of Florida and Rick,
Steve, Bobby and Clifford Daniels, all of Paragould; daughter, Rebecca Daniels of
Paragould; three brothers; seven sisters; and nine grandchildren.

Born in Ridgley, Tenn., he was retired from International Harvester Co. and was a member

Survivors include his loving wife of 69 years, Margaret; one son, Richard Lewis and wife
Linda of Houston; one brother, Austin Lewis of Jonesboro; one sister, Mary Francis Varnell
of Flint, Mich.; one stepsister, Flora Hampton of Bay; one daughter-in-law, Merrilyn Lewis

Jerry Wayne Emanuel, 61, of Paragould died Sunday, March 18, 2007, at his residence.

Nettie Kathryn Blansett, 96, of Paragould, died Monday, March 19, 2007, at Greene Acres
Nursing Home in Paragould.
She was born in the Water Valley community near Ravenden Springs, Arkansas, on September
2, 1910, to William Joseph and Sarah Jane Smith Blansett. She began teaching elementary
school in Randolph County after graduating high school at Pocahontas and later graduated
from Arkansas State University with a degree in elementary education. Most of her 40 years
of teaching was done at Cardwell, Missouri, and St. Louis, Missouri. She was a member of
the Paragould First Baptist Church, the Greene County Retired Teachers Association, and
Delta Kappa Gamma Society. She was also a volunteer with the Hospital Auxiliary and the
Greene County Literacy Council for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and five sisters.
Survivors include one sister, Hattie Hosman of Paragould; four nephews, Thurman Wells of
Ravenden Springs, Leon Blansett of Jefferson City, Missouri, Kenneth Rogers of League
City, Texas, and Vic Hosman of Paragould; and one niece, Mildred Statlet of Columbia,
Missouri.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 22nd, at 1:00 p.m. with funeral services immediately
following at 2:00 p.m., at the Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel in Paragould, with Joe Marsden
and Dwight Harrison officiating. Burial will be in the Cardwell, Missouri Cemetery.

Thelma (Baird) Smith went to her heavenly home on March 20, 2007, at Arkansas Methodist
Medical Center in Paragould.
She was born in the Moran Community near Walnut Ridge, to the late Homer and Myrtle
(Hartgroves) Baird on December 7, 1930. Mrs. Smith was a graduate of Hoxie High School, a
homemaker, and of the Baptist faith.
She was united in marriage to Chester Eugene Smith on December 22, 1950. He preceded her
in death on February 15, 1977. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a brother,
Howard Baird; and by a sister, Zelma Francis Baird.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Dennis Harman of Gustine,
California; her son, Charles (Chuck) Smith of Paragould; a sister-in-law, Lucille Baird of
Walcott; a brother Paul Baird and his wife, Euba of Oxnard, California; a sister, Anita
(Baird) Pickens and her husband, Bob; and a brother-in-law, Paul Smith of Jonesboro. She
is also survived by three grandsons, Chad Harman, Keith Harman, and Brandon Harmon; one
great granddaughter, Nevaeh Harman; three great grandsons, Tyler Schmucker, Michael
Sirnhaber, and Christian; several special nieces and nephews; and by many special friends.

Born January 23, 1913, in Gatewood, Missouri, Mr. Gazaway was a boiler maker with Electric
Power Houses. He also served in the Navy during WWII. He was a member of the Assembly of
God.

Electric and was a member of Unity Baptist Church.

Betty McDonald died on Sunday, March 25, 2007 at Arkansas Methodist Hospital. Betty was
born in Little Rock on April 19, 1935. She lived in Little Rock prior to moving to
Paragould in 1977. She worked as a beautician and homemaker. Betty was an active member of
St. Marys Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Agnes and John
Wilson, her beloved husband of 44 years, Tony McDonald, and her sisters, Dorothy Corbit
and Maxine McReynolds.
Those left to honor her memory are her daughter and son-in-law, Toni and Mike Johnson of
Paragould; three sons and daughters-in-law, Ray and Terry Stafford of Little Rock, Gary
and Sandy Stafford of Florida, and Shane and Kim McDonald of Cabot; two brothers, Horace
Wilson and L. D. Wilson; three sisters, Jewel Southerland, Margaret Dever and Freda Ann
Derrick; 10 grandchildren, Timothy Johnson, Garrett Johnson, Jenny Johnson Bennett,
Michael Stafford, Greg Stafford, Kerri Metcalf, Kristi Doyle, Zachary Stafford, Haleigh
McDonald and Tony McDonald; and seven great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 28, at 3:30 p.m. at Linwood Cemetery
with Rex Bouldin officiating. Pallbearers will be Jeff Branch, Dr. Dwight Williams, Dick
Chiles, Bryan Bennett, Grant Pitcher and Pete Schmuecker. Honorary pallbearers include
Avon Fletcher, Carroll Childress, Clyde Cobb, Harvey Lee McCord and Robert Branch.
For lasting memorials, the family asks that consideration be given to St. Marys
Catholic Church or East Side Baptist Church. Heath Funeral Home is in charge of
arrangements.
Wanda H. Davis
Wanda H. Davis, 86, of Paragould, died Sunday, March 25, 2007, in Paragould.
Mrs. Davis was born Oct. 18, 1920. She was formerly of Van Buren, Mo.
On June 26, 1936, she was united in marriage to Richard Davis in Corning. He preceded her
in death. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Verneal Johnson Shook and Aldie
Kersey.
Survivors include four nephews, W.E. Johnson of Fredricktown; Landis Shook and Cleatis
Kersey, both of Paragould, and Gaylon Shook; three nieces, Mary Perkins and Christine
Small, both of Corning, and Georgia Kessler of Paragould.
A visitation will be held at 11 a.m., today, March 27, in the McSpadden Funeral Home in
Van Buren, Mo., with the funeral service following at 1 p.m. with Ken Roden officiating.
The burial will be in the Eastwood Cemetery
Bonnie Sue Pranger
Bonnie Sue Pranger, 52, of Paragould, died Monday, March 26, 2007, at her residence.
Born Sept. 29, 1954, in Walnut Ridge, she was the activity director at Greene Acres
Nursing Home and member of Newton Street Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Gaylon Pranger of the home; two daughters, Amy Pranger and
Rebecca Pranger, both of the home; four brothers, Carl Jones, Don Jones, Dale Jones and
Jimmy Jones, all of Paragould; and two sisters, Jean Jackson of Paragould and Linda Pelkey
of Jonesboro.
Mrs. Pranger was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Sarah Jones; and by one
sister, Louise Gatlin.
Visitation will be this evening from 6-9 at Mitchell Funeral Home in Paragould.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Linwood Cemetery with Tim Wooldridge and
L.R. Smith officiating. The procession will leave Mitchell Funeral Home at 9:50 a.m.

Gene Williams
LINCOLN, CA.
Gene Williams, age 80, of Lincoln, CA, died March 22, 2007, after a sudden illness. Born
September 13, 1926, he was native of Jonesboro, AR.
Gene served in the US Navy during WW2. After graduating from Arkansas State University
he moved to California. He lived in Foster City for 32 years and was an active leader,
Deacon and Elder of Western Hills Church in San Mateo. He served as Trustee &
President of the California Baptist Foundation. Gene was retired as a Regional Sales
Manager, from Aurora Pump Co. a unit of General Signal (formerly Lane & Bowler). He
was a docent at the Treasure Island Museum and an accomplished historian on Naval and
Civil War history. He moved to Lincoln in 2004 and became an active member of the First
Baptist Church in Lincoln. Gene was an admired and respected bible teacher and lived his
life as a testament to his faith. He was a man of integrity and was a friend to all who
knew him.
Gene is survived by his wife of 28 years, Jeanne; his children Quintin Williams
(Deanna) of Lodi and Karen Paganucci (Steve) of San Mateo; his stepsons Steven and David
(Leigh) Johnson; his grand- children Karly and Kori Paganucci, Nathaniel and Mallory
Johnson and Rafi Myers; his brother, Bill Williams (Marja); sisters Betty Bell (Atwood)
and Ann Cushing; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley Jack and Bertha, his brother Royce,
his first wife Sammye, and his grandson, Cole Paganucci.
A private burial was held on Friday, March 30, at the Manzanita Cemetery in Lincoln. A
home- going memorial celebration of Gene's life will be held at 1:00 pm, on April 14,
2007, at the First Baptist Church in Lincoln, CA (916) 645-2428. In lieu of flowers, the

Peggy Joyce Huckabee
Peggy Joyce Huckabee, 63, of Arbyrd, died Wednesday, March 28, 2007, at Twin Rivers
Regional Medical Center, Kennett. Born May 12, 1943, in East St. Louis, Illinois, Mrs.
Huckabee was a homemaker.
Survivors include four sons, Larry Huckabee, Edgar Huckabee, and Thomas Huckabee, all of
Arbyrd, and David Huckabee of St. Petersburg, Florida; two daughters, Pam Carmichael of
Cardwell, and Debra Nyitrai of Ash Flat. She is also survived by two brothers, Bob
Bateman, Ronald Bateman; and three sisters, Shirley Gilliam, Barbara Franklin and Eithel
Rippy, all of Paragould; twelve grandchildren; and by six great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Huckabee; one son, Roger Huckabee; and by
her parents, Virgel and Ola Mae Bateman.

A graveside funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 30th, at New

Joy Regina Brown
Joy Regina Brown, 53, of Brookland died Wednesday, March 28, 2007, at Greene Acres Nursing
Home in Paragould.
She was a homemaker and of the Church of Christ belief.
Survivors include three brothers, Jerry Manley of Paragould, Dub Manley of Hillsboro, Mo.,
and Paul Manley of Brookland; and three sisters, Geneva Perry of Muskegon, Mich., Gwenda
DeHart of Paragould and Pat Wood of Wentzville, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Zelma Manley; two brothers, Norman and
Dennis Manley; and one sister, Geraldine Butler.
Funeral services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Brookland Church of Christ with Victor Eskew
and John Mark Wilson officiating. Her nephews will serve as pallbearers. Burial will be in
Liberty Cemetery on Highway 351.
The family will receive visitors this evening from 6-8 at Phillips Funeral Home in

C.C. Dulaney
C.C. Dulaney, 85, loving husband, father, and grandfather, died Wednesday, March 28, 2007,
at his home in Paragould.
Mr. Dulaney was born in Fulton, MS., on Oct. 21, 1921. He was preceded in death by his
wife, Lois of Paragould; his son, Charles Dulaney of Shawnee Mission, Kan.; his parents,
Charlie C. and Zora Dulaney of Fulton; and three brothers, Vastel Dulaney, Clastel
Dulaney, and Vecil Dulaney, all of Fulton.
He is survived by his daughter, Karen Dulaney Blue and her husband Leslie of Paragould;
three grandchildren, Amanda, Alisha and Austin Blue, also of Paragould; and a sister,
Dorothy Fitch of Fulton.
Mr. Dulaney served his country well as a medic in the U.S. Army's 124th Infantry Medical
Battalion from 1942-1945, seeing service in the Philippines and New Guinea. Army
decorations and citations Mr. Dulaney received included the Combat Medical Badge, the
Philippine Liberation Ribbon with Bronze Star, the Meritorious Unit Award, the Bronze
Arrowhead Medal, the World War II Victory Medal, the Philippine Presidential Unit Citation
and the United States Presidential Unit Citation for action between May 6 and May 13,
1945.
After the war, he returned home to complete his education at Holmes Junior College,
followed by bachelor's and master's degrees from Mississippi State University, and finally
an specialist degree in Education from the University of Mississippi. He began his
teaching career at Promised Land School from 1949 to 1957 where he served as
teacher-principal.
He began his tenure for the Blytheville Public School District in 1957 serving as
teacher-principal for three years at Fairview Elementary School, teacher-principal at
Central Elementary for two years, then giving up his teaching duties to become full-time
principal at both Central and Fairview Schools for the next five years. In 1967 he became
principal of Blytheville Junior High, then moved to Blytheville High School in 1970 where
he served as principal for 13 years. In 1983 he was promoted to the position of supervisor
of maintenance and transportation for the Blytheville Public School District, in which he
served three years before retiring in 1986.
Mr. Dulaney received many honors, including recognition in Who's Who of Secondary School
Administrators. He served the Blytheville School District and community as a board member
for the AAAA Athletic Conference, president of District 13 Teachers Association, president
of the Blytheville Education Association, board member for the Arkansas Education
Association, member of the Blytheville Rotary Club, American Legion Post 24 and Eastside
Church of Christ.
In addition to an exceptional career in education, he was devoted to his family. A few
years after retiring from public school administration, he and his wife moved to Paragould
to be near their daughter and grandchildren. As a resident of Paragould, Mr. Dulaney was a
member of Seventh and Mueller Church of Christ and the Greene County Retired Teachers
Organization.
Visitation will be from 6-8 tonight in Heath Funeral Home at Paragould. Another visitation
is scheduled at Blytheville on Monday beginning at 1:30 p.m. in Cobb Funeral Home, with
funeral services following at 2:30 p.m.
Larry McFadden will officiate the funeral service, and honorary pallbearers will be the
surviving members of the 124th Infantry Medical Battalion. A military graveside service
with honor guard presentation will be on Tuesday afternoon in Pine Grove Church of Christ
Cemetery at Fulton.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the 7th and Muller
Church of Christ, 1000 South 7th St., Paragould 72450, "Children's Education Wing

Charles Masingale
Charles Masingale, 63, of Southaven, MS., died Thursday, March 29, 2007, at Baptist
Memorial Hospital, DeSoto.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Betty Masingale of Southaven; four sons, Dwayne
Masingale of Coldwater, MS, Daryl Masingale and Jason Masingale, both of Paragould, AR,
and Trent Masingale of Jonesboro, AR; one brother, John Masingale of Benton, AR; one
sister, Wanda Whitson of Paris, AR; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 31 from 10 a.m-12 p.m. with Mass beginning at 12 p.m.
at the Catholic Church of the Resurrection in Memphis, TN, where he was a communicant.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Mary's Cemetery at Paragould.

Glenn Aaron Stearns
Glenn Aaron Stearns, 77, of Mt. Morris, Mich., died Wednesday, March 28, 2007, at his
residence.
Mr. Stearns was born July 19, 1929, in Paragould, the son of Mr. and Mrs. James L. and
Clara O. (McClain) Stearns. He married Patricia N. Bird on Oct. 3, 1959, in Flint, Mich.,
and was employed at GM-Ternstead for 49 years where he worked as a pipefitter.
Survivors include, his son Brek and wife Kileen Stearns of Clio, Mich.; his stepson, Mick
McCarty, Jr., of Boiling Springs Lakes, N.C., four grandchildren, Kara Ann, Bayli, Lucas,
Allen, and wife Jessica, great-grandchild, Timothy; and a sister, Gloria Hodges. Mr.
Stearns was preceded in death by wife Patricia; his parents; and his brothers.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, April 2, at the Miles Martin Funeral Home
in Mt. Morris. Pastor Erv Saultman will be officiating, with burial to follow at the Flint
Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, April 1, from
11 a.m. until 8 p.m. and also from 10 a.m. on Monday until time of service.

Edward C. Martin
Edward C. Martin, age 73, of Paragould died Friday, March 30, 2007, at his residence.
Born in Jonesboro, he moved to California in 1964 where he worked for Honolulu Freight for
several years and returned to Arkansas in 1988. He was a Mason and attended Clarks Chapel
Baptist Church in Paragould.
Survivors include his mother, Vera Bailey of Jonesboro; his wife, Mary Martin of the home;
one daughter, Judy Martin of Jonesboro; one stepdaughter, Sharon Jones of St. Louis; three
sons, Wade and Jerry Martin, both of Paragould, and Charles Martin and wife Henrietta of
Jonesboro; three grandsons, Chris Martin of Nashville, Tenn., Timothy Martin of Dewitt and
Lance Martin of Mammoth Spring; eight stepgrandchildren; and three
stepgreat-grandchildren.
Active pallbearers will be Gary W. Gibbs, Josh Weist, Shannon East, Merle Wilkins, Rob
Wilkins and Jack Huffmaster.
Funeral services will be at Roller-Farmers Union Chapel at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 1, with

Elzipha Jones
Elzipha Ziffie Jones, formerly of Marmaduke, died peacefully at 11:30 p.m.,
March 31, 2007, at her home in Paragould at the age of 90 years, 7 months and 6 days of
age. Mrs. Jones lived with her youngest daughter Loretta Casey and Don Kibler.
She was of the Christian faith.
Born Aug. 25, 1916, to the late Pete Marsh and Mary Coggins, she was a homemaker.
Survivors include five sons, Clifford Jones and Leon Jones of Marmaduke,
Jerry Jones of Haines City, Fla., Tony Jones of Pollard and Ronnie Jones of Michigan; two
daughters, Shirley Ragsdell of Rosebud and Loretta (Casey) Kibler of Paragould, and one
sister, Bythia Ann Brown.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Euvene Jones; a daughter, Wilma
Lane; and three sisters, Lizzie, Tressie and Virgie.
She had 51 grandchildren; 77 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and
an abundance of nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. Monday evening in the Irby Chapel at Rector. Services will be
Tuesday, April 3, at 3 p.m. at Irby Funeral Home with Rayburn Forman officiating.
