Shirley June Blassingame, 76, of Wewahitchka, Florida, died Sunday, July 7, 2013 in Panama City, Florida.
She was born June 24, 1937, in Paragould, to Lawrence and Selma Cooper. Mrs. Blassingame was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. She liked to read, crochet, needlepoint, and work crossword puzzles.
Survivors include her husband, Monfort Blassingame of the home; one son, Clinton Blassingame of the home; two daughters, Linda Blassingame of Barnhart, Missouri, Anita Sutton (Chris) of St Louis County, Missouri; two grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday evening from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at Mitchell Funeral Home, Paragould.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Monday, July 15th, at the Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Drake officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Knot Cemetery.

Madge Louise Fast
Madge Louise Schwamb Boxx Fast, 84, of Paragould, died on July 11, 2013 at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. She was born November 7, 1928 in Paragould, the daughter of Louis H. and Annie E. Chunn Brasher Schwamb.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Paragould and its Homemakers Sunday school class. She was especially known for her sense of humor and her enjoyment of reading, tending to her many plants, and watching Cardinals baseball.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother and three sisters: Robert Allen Brasher, Eva L. Brasher McLerkin, Marie Brasher Faulkner Cole, and Lois R. Schwamb Thomas.
She is survived by her two sons, Perry L. Boxx of Columbus GA, T. William Boxx of Latrobe, PA,; and four grandchildren Nathan M. Boxx of Pittsburgh, PA, Peter M. Boxx of Baltimore, MD, Miller L. Boxx, and Cain Anne Boxx both of Hoover, AL. She is also survived by special relatives: niece Judy Bentley of West Plains, MO, great nieces Pam Dale of Tecumseh, MO, and Jennifer Booher of Hernando, MS, and cousin Sonya Hester of Paragould; and by special friends Frankie Swindle, Darlene and Michael Thompson, Tracy and Terry Taylor, and Laura and Wallace Jackson all of Paragould.
Arrangements are with Mitchell Funeral Home. Friends and relatives will be received from 6:00-7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 14th at Mitchell Funeral Home, 2307 W. Kingshighway, Paragould. Graveside service will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, in Linwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be sent to First United Methodist Church of Paragould.
