GREENE COUNTY, ARKANSAS -- SUDDEN DEATH OF ELZIE FOSTER

Elzie Foster, son of Mr. & Mrs. J. H. Foster of Center Hill neighborhood, died at the day of the year while in the woods cutting timber with three other parties. Death due to heart failure and the young man dropped dead while on duty. As he fell one of his companions caught him, but he died a few seconds later without uttering a word.

The young man was 22 years old and prominent in the Center Hill community. He was a Christian of the Baptist faith having joined the Center Hill Baptist Church in August 1902. The interment took place in the Center Hill Cemetery the day following his death and the funeral was conducted by Rev. A. C. Griffin.
