An exceptionally heavy rain fell ten miles southwest of Paragould Sunday afternoon at 4'oclock in the region of Lower Big Island and *Schug's Mill*. The rain was accompanied by a severe wind storm which blew down a number of dead trees. Hail also fell for several minutes although neither the wind or hail damaged the crops.
