Officers arrested a man and a woman near here yesterday on charges of operating a whiskey still. State Police Sgt. Wyatt Patrick identified the pair as Virgil Lester (Buster) Brown, 42, and Florene Thompson, alias Florence Brown, 25. Patrick and Green County Sheriff Loy Newberry led a raid on the still, near the St. Francis river ten miles east of Paragould and six miles southwest of Cardwell, Mo. They reported finding more than 150 gallons of whiskey mash.
