James McDaniel and his second wife Flora Ann 'Morris' Courtney McDaniel. James was the son of John McDaniel (son of Stacy) and his first wife, Sally 'Hollingsworth' McKinney McDaniel. James prospered in Greene County as a farmer and businessman. He also owned and operated one of the first cotton gins in Greene County.

NOTE: James McDaniel's wife, Flora Ann 'Morris' Courtney McDaniel was the sister of James McDaniel's father's third wife, Emily C. 'Morris' Robards McDaniel. I wonder if the kids called her Aunt Grandma?
